“Reasonable location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 March 2009

Stayed here one night as part of a large group leaving Morocco the following morning. Like all the hotels we stayed in in Morocco the Adrar was looking a bit "tired", and could do with some money being spent to brighten it up and maintain equipment.

Location is OK, around 10 minutes' walk from the beach, and a bit more from the town centre. It's also a reasonably direct trip out to the airport.

Our room was fine, clean and quiet. The aircon/ heating system worked, but the TV did not. Shower water was hot. Beds were reasonable, but pillows were Moroccan standard (i.e. hard and lumpy)

We used the restaurant for dinner and breakfast, and found the quality of the buffet surprisingly good on both occasions.

Staff were OK, but English was not their strong language.

This is a mass-market group tour hotel, and is not where independent travellers would normally find themselves. For that matter, neither is Agadir. But the hotel is a perfectly reasonable option if they offer a room at a reasonable price.

“Stay Away from this Brits”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 March 2008

It has taken me some time to write this review, however I am still not over the terrible experience.

The hotel is poorly presented, had a very dark gloomy reception area (apart from the themed seating area).

On check in we found the hotel staff quite rude (I think most of the experiences we had with the Moroccans were). We got to our room which had a nice colour scheme. However that is all I can say, the bathroom was filthy, the beds were lumpy. The patio door locks were broken so leaving our cases there was out of the question. (had to sleep with one eye open)

Having travelled most of the day we decided to go and try the restaurant as we were there on HB. The restaurant was very basic and the food was awefull.

Would I go back? not in a million years..we checked out the following morning to Hotel Anezi which was some much better, cleaner..(not perfect) but felt like 5 star after leaving Hotel Adrar.

I would strongly recommend to any Brit thinking of staying at this hotel to reconsider..
