“NIce Hotel not quite 4*”

We stayed at this hotel in October, and there are really great things about this hotel, but also bad as well.
If you have booked a holiday to the resort and are due to stay at the hotel, then if you do a little research & preparation, then you can probably avoid disappointment!!

So the good bits; the hotel is very clean, and the staff really helpful, friendly & polite. The hotel is a little tired looking
Rooms are a little basic and getting to the beach is probably not as close or easy as the descriptions state.
I can not praise the dining room staff enough. While we were there, it was my husbands birthday, and they set aside a beautiful table for us with candles & rose petals. They cooked us a special meal of a massive piece of steak and chips, followed by the biggest birthday cake I had ever seen, and all of this was free of charge.

We were on a half board basis, but we did have lunch at the hotel most days. Lunch menu generally consists of sandwiches & chips, but they are really lovely hot toasted crusty bread with chips & side salad (a variety of fillings are available). This is served outside near the pools. The tables are nicely set. Lunch with a glass of wine or beer will cost you around £3.50.

Now for the bad bits; the evening meals were really poor. You help yourself from a very limited variety of dishes from the silver type servers, which are kept warm by little tea light candles underneath. The food was barely edible, cold and tends to run out. The kitchen does not tend to send out any food until these metal server trays are empty.
Friday seems to be fish night! So unless you like squid, prawns, fish soup etc, your probably going to go hungry. The breakfast is not much better, popular choose seems to be a freshly prepared omelet, however, I was unable to get a fully cooked one the whole time I was there.

To get to the beach, there is a short cut at the back of the hotel, but you have to go down lots of steps. then cross a rather busy main road and fight your way pass the locals trying to sell you anything they can!
Further more, this short cut has a gate, which is locked a 6pm!! so you have to walk out the front of the hotel and round the block after this time and vice versa coming back.
Outside the hotel main entrance (just two steps opposite) there is a really nice funky bar. It is all white inside with white leather sofa's and chairs, and blue fluorescent lighting. Music is good and drinks are very reasonable, but lots of the locals go there, but if you don't want the long walk to the beach (that's were all the bars and other local restaurants are) then this bar is highly recommended.
All in all, if you can get round the poor hotel food, the hotel is good and you should have a nice time.

Room Tip: Rooms to the front of the hotel have a fab view of the beach. Also on our first night the air con w...

The worst hotel i have ever stayed in. If i could swear then this page would be full of it. Staff are pathetic, they cant speak english nor do they help. The actual building is taccy and looks very ugly, every girl you see there is a prostitute!!! The rooms in the hotel were disgusting and dirty, the 10th floor is a load of rubbish, there is no 10th floor, no entertainment whatsoever. I would not recommend this to any british who is thinking of going to that hotel. I would rate it -10/10

Having booked the trip through Citrus Holidays and looked at the hotel website, we were thoroughly looking forward to our trip.
Upon arrival the outside of the hotel looked rather 'tired' however we remained optimistic having seen photographs of the interior on the hotel website. Although our optimism did not last long...
We were immediately struck by how dark and dated the interior was, closely following by the unhelpful staff and their limited English.
The menu choice was limited and our first and second choices were no longer available, the glasses and cutlery were dirty and we were forced to sit outside despite the rather chilly temperatures!
Unfortunately we were so disappointed with the quality of service that we received on the first day that we did not complete our trip and in fact moved hotels.
It may seem a reasonable price option, but do not be fooled...it is not worth it!!

“DISGUSTING - had to leave as soon as we arrived”

What an awful hotel. Having been to Agadir previously, I can tell you that this place is seriously sub-standard for the resort. The hotel is disgusting, filthy, tired and definitely not a 4*. Staff are rude and unhelpful. Food is disgusting. Having arrived and checked in we were taken up to our room - do not be fooled by the official photos of the hotel rooms. They are a complete misrepresentation of the actual room you will get. Our room was tiny, dirty, the beds were slept in from the night before and unmade upon our arrival, and the toilet flooded the floor upon being flushed.
The best advice I can give you if you are going to travel to Agadir is not to stay at this hotel. We made our own arrangements and moved to another hotel the very same afternoon we checked in to the Anezi. The place should be knocked down.

“Dreadful”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2011

Loved the resort of Agadir but Hotel Anezi was awful!! Classed as 4 star, maybe in the 70's, but struggles to be a 3 star now! Neglected and in need of modernisation! Offers All Inclusive but clearly dont know what they're doing! Had problems getting a drink and also lunchtime menu was limited to choice of 2 items one day then full menu following day then back to 2 items again!! Hotels policy to check out room at 12 on day of departure although flight not til evening......so they then try and bill u for all inclusive drinks and food for that afternoon, although fully entitled to it!!! Only hotel which stands tall in Agadir so could do well if money spent on it and had some TLC, but otherwise, think it will go under in next few years, cos a lot nicer hotels on offer!!! Bathroom and rooms very dated and almost falling apart and public toilets in reception filthy dirty and no toilet roll! Big language barrier as only keen to speak french! I would re-visit Agadir but definitely not stay at this hotel!!!
