“This is a Motel not a Hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2011

The reception are very rude and rigid. When I got to the room the bed was not prepared, there were no towels in the bathroom, the safety box is not working (you have to buy from the reception a card to get it work), and there were some bugs in the room. The motel is crowded (i dont know why?), and very noisy all day. There were no hotel directories or room service menu in the room. I couldn't figure out the reception phone number. The rooms are small and poorly lighted. In conclusion, the hotel got the 4* from the big parking, big number of rooms. But the quality of service and facilities are very poor and don't live up to 2 stars.

“This is not a hotel for a demanding clientele”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2011

We returned a week ago with this hotel. The only advantage is its excellent location, close proximity to the ocean, as well as the impressive lobby, the rest leaves much to be desired: dirty rooms, requiring repairs, flaking paint, broken furniture, balconies, in a deplorable condition, wrought by the birds, cleaning ladies do not react to it, but willing to take a tip, I just do not attach. Service at reception very rude, just looking for profits. As we wanted to pay more for staying for a few hours in the room, because the day is to 12.00, and the flight we were late at night, everyone at the reception gave a different price and getting higher. The restaurant generally unkind round-up-waiters, food monotonous, regularly repeated, not once during the stay was not, np.owoców sea. The rooms themselves could correspond to three stars. This is not a hotel for a demanding clientele.

“Overpriced, terrible service and dirty”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2011

We spent one night at this hotel after a very positive experience with the Atlas hotel in Essaouira. This was something completely different, however - twice the price for one tenth of the value.

Staff/service: Unfriendly, bordering on hostile. Not a single smile during the entire stay from the staff, which consists mostly of grumpy, old men. If you have problems understanding mumbling in French, expect to be yelled at and treated like an idiot. One reception employee communicated exclusively in grunts. When being shown to the room, the porter shoved us into an elevator without informing us which floor on which to exit. We were twice directed to rooms that turned out to be occupied by other guests. No attempts at apologies were made. The contrast to the cheerful professionalism we met in Essaouira could not have been greater.

Cleanliness: Cigarette butts on floors and overfilled ashtrays everywhere. The rooms reeked of old cigarette smoke, dusty, with dirty floors and bathrooms. Unidentifiable brown stains on linen. Only one out of three light bulbs functioning.

Noise: We spent New Year's Eve there - which is never easy when travelling with children in this part of the world - and can't really complain about the massive noise which lasted until 2AM. It could be argued that we were looking for trouble. But reading other reviews at this site, it seems that this is a recurring problem at the hotel. The way it is constructed, with a stage in the centre of an amphi-like construction and nightly live "entertainment", is not conducive to a good night's sleep.

Wi-fi only available in reception area.

On a positive note, the location of the hotel is good, and we guess the view from the rooms facing the sea is pretty nice (we were given a room overlooking the parking lot). The other guests, mostly elderly people, seemed to be enjoying themselves. The breakfast was edible.

Overall - a faded, charmless and smelly place which we would not recommend to anyone.

“Genuine 4* hotel but quite noisy at night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 June 2010

We moved to this hotel after staying at the Ryad mogador (Al Madina Palace) and finding cockroaches!!! Reception staff were great and found us a room quickly and we stayed on a BB basis. The room was good and had a balcony right over the beach but the hotel was noisy due to the bar; we stayed on Friday and Saturday night so am not sure if it just these nights that are loud - we were close to the bar also.
I would describe this hotel as a village, it has a private beach, large swimming pool, fitness centre, several shops, several restaurants and bars and a nightclub. It seemed most people were on a FB basis and did not leave the hotel.
It's about a 20 minute stroll to the main stretch in Agadir but there are no shortages of taxis outside - prices do vary rapidly however.
Breakfast here was a mix of fruit, bread, cold meats and cheeses, red sausages, beans and eggs, crepes and Moroccan pancakes. Lots of drinks were included at breakfast but it does get very busy and crowded.
The location for just chilling out on the beach as it is literally on the beach and if you don't want hassle and just to relax then it will be great.
