My wife and I rented a king suite with hot tub (room 128). We were jarred from our sleep at 1 AM by someone who was rummaging and banging around next door for almost an hour. It sounded like doors/drawers slamming right on the other side of the wall from our headboard. We called the front desk thinking that it was a guest next door. We eventually fell asleep, but then at 5 AM it started again. When we went to breakfast, we figured out that it wasn't a guest at all; it was the employees. There is a kitchen/storeroom on the other side of the wall from our room; we could see it from the breakfast area.
I talked to the guy at the front desk and insisted on a reduction in the rate which he grudgingly agreed to. You would think that the employees would know that they have to be quiet in there. Either that or add more soundproofing. We were both dead tired the next morning having gotten only a few hours of sleep.
Otherwise, it was a nice stay. The room and breakfast were up to the usual Holidy Express standards. Everything was clean. Bed/pillows were fine. Heating unit is below the window and a bit noisy as most of them are. There are several good restaurants within walking distance. We went to the Waterfront and had a great meal. The hot tub in the room worked well and was very relaxing. It is in the main bedroom area. The pool area looked nice. They have a computer and coin op laundry. Plenty of free parking. Had a fridge and microwave.
Stay away from room 128 and you will be fine.
