Great hotel, clean rooms, wonderful service. Great for meetings/business near O'Hare.

We stayed here as the designated hotel for a nearby wedding. The cost of the room with the special group rate made it a nice well-valued place to stay. Not sure I would spend the money for the "rack rate," especially without breakfast. We went across the street to Denny's - not fancy but predictable. The room was very nice, bed comfortable, great linens, fluffy towels and something I really appreciate is lots of counter space in the bathroom. Pretty granite with a raised backsplash/shelf that gave you extra room to spread out cosmetics, lotions, toiletries, etc. And I appreciate real glass glasses for drinking - wish there had been real coffee cups for the coffee maker. This hotel does seem to run lots of complimentary transportation to various places nearby, so if you are going to the area and don't want to drive in suburban Chicago wasteland, this DoubleTree may be able to help you out. Oh, and the rooms seem pretty quiet. There were numerous loud groups that we saw in the lobby/halls/elevator but did not hear anything during the night and we were in the first room around the corner from the elevator.

I stayed here for my niece's wedding. I got a big suite because my whole family was going to be joining me. The suite was faaabulous! It was so spacious and modern. It had a ton of room and I was just really happy with it.

I'll definitely stay in a Doubletree again.

This is the hotel my sister chose for the guests of her wedding. It's OK. When I checked in, I was told that I would be getting a smoking room. Not cool. I asked if there was anything else they could do. They said there were no other suites that were non-smoking that were available. We requested non-smoking rooms when we booked the rooms - MONTHS ahead of time. If the non-smoking room wasn't available at the time of booking we should have been told then, not when we checked in.

We had food delivered from an outside vendor and the front desk person sent the delivery to the wrong room, even though there were quite detailed instructions. As the maid of honor to a bride with a big wedding party, I did NOT have time to chase around a delivery person.

The bar closed at 11:30 p.m. and wouldn't stay open later even for a large group.

I know I was stressed so perhaps I'm judging this hotel too harshly. Either way, I won't have to stay here again as I live downtown.
