My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express because it was near her mother's home. We were checked into a room that was occupied. When we unlocked the door, we and the occupants were quite shocked.

Apart from that, the place smelled a bit old and funky, and the sheets smelled of storng bleach. If you need accommodation at this price point, I would look elsewhere.

Just passing through Illinois en route from Alberta to Ontario and decided staying just outside Chicago would not only be more affordable but also less time consuming when departing first thing early the next morning. BEAUTIFUL room, very spacious. Had a great program offering outside restaurants [both chain & not] to deliver room service. Immaculate cleanliness of the room in combination with the even more friendly service at the desk makes this a destination I'd consider not just when travelling on business.

Nice lobby, friendly check in and food service. But, it ends there. Housekeeping does not clean up your coffee pot, replace coffee, clean up melted ice and refresh ice bag, replace soap on a daily basis. They do not like to tuck in the sheets on the beds and they are hard, hard, hard beds. Pillows are worn out. Asked the manager to have head of housekeeping check out my room after the first occurance. It was the same the next day, manager wrote it down and blew me off, to just have the room inspected to see if it met Holiday Inn standards. Spent 4 bad days at this Holiday Inn.

I like that it was close to the freeway and easy to find. There seemed to be plenty of parking for the hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly to me. I asked to be near the fitness room and they put me just a few doors down. They had a breakfast buffet that was nice, typical of breakfast buffets, it had more than just donuts - there were eggs, bacon, bagels, fresh fruit, yogurt and so forth. You could make pancakes or waffles; I can't remember because I didn't want any. The high speed Internet was easy to setup and worked well.
