We are frequent visitors to the Marriot chain and I have never read a review PRIOR to staying in one but I will for all Marriots in the future. This Marriot truely does not reflect the Marriot family reputation. Stayed for two nights in a suite with 4 people. The living area itself was quite comfortable and large. The bathroom was very small and the shower was like a gentle mist instead of a nice heavy rain. The beds were full size (even though the room could easily accomadate queens- when will hotels stop using this size ???) so it was very cramped sleeping. The mattress and pillows had seen their life, afterlife and then some, did not make for a good night sleep. If you have children guard your remote. Every time you turn on the tv it automatically goes to Marriot On-Demand with two easy clicks you just bought yourself a movie for the low low price of $17.99. Some small features, like a list of nearby resturants and a channel guide are not included in your room price. Once you find a pizza place that delivers be sure to call on your cellie or you'll be charged 75cents for that local call. The walls and hallways carry a lot of sound, but don't follow it down to the breakfast buffet. The food was less than mediocere and one customer had curdled milk. (this too is not included in your room, but for a small 5.00 fee you too can leave hungry after eating)As others had stated a lot of mechanical repair is in dire need. We also had to swipe many times (while standing outside in the snow, wind and 20 degrees) and the elevator got stuck open while we were in it. Most of the staff were pleasent except for Toni, she was working the front desk when we had complaints. Her lack of professionalism and curtosy made me feel like I was at a Super 8 motel. I agree with fellow travelers that have posted that this particular hotel lacks the Marriot charm, style and friendliness and you should stay somewhere else.
