I was in this surburb of St. Louis on business for a three week work assignment. My company booked the hotel, which was an improvement over the hotel they put me in last year. It is a former Days Inn, fully remodeled and still going through the process. While my stay here, the pool is being constructed, and a Burger King is being built. Aside from the hideous bright yellow stucco walls that are throughout the complex, it is a pretty good stay. My bed was comfortable, room was a good size, with a work desk and a (not so) comfy chair and ottoman. There is a flat screen in the room, and a fridge and microwave.
The housekeeping staff does a great job. I spent the first week and a half in the room and Ramona was my housekeeper. She was dedicated to making my stay comfortable, and was very personable. My room always smelled fresh and clean. Her supervisor makes daily rounds to check the room, and ask if it was done to my satisfaction.
The front desk staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They were always quick to address maintenance issues, and when daylight savings left the parking lot pitch black, I asked that the timer be changed. The next night the lot was lit.
The BW ALton is not a fancy place, but if you are looking for a comfortable, friendly place, here it is. I would recommend this location. Happy Travels!
