“Great B&B”

I have never enjoyed a stay more, or had a better time at a B&B. Al and Daryl are two of the most interesting and nicest people I have ever met. Their farm is a fantastic place to stay for someone of any age with great accommodations. They do not intrude if you want solitude, but are there if you want or need anything. I cannot recommend them more highly. I hope to stay there again.

“Couldn't get enough of it... Already planning my return!”

I have stayed at numerous B&B's before but something is very special about the people and this place that makes it stand out. Maybe it's the warmth of the hosts, the beautiful scenery, the quiet space, the comfortable bed or the really great breakfast. Hard to pick, really. My two girls and I stayed after a big day at Silverwood Theme Park (huge hit - tons of fun - highly recommend). I just wished we could have stayed longer. We'll go back and plan to visit the theme park too.

Room Tip: We ended up staying in Granny's Woods & Spring. You end up having your own section of the h...

“Great place for kids!!”

We stayed here for 1 night and wish we could of stayed for more! My 1 year old and 3 year old girls loved all the animals (especially the kittens) and loved exploring the garden and barn. Rooms were very clean and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was AMAZING!! Fresh smoothie, fruit salad, apricot shortbread, eggs and ham. My girls demolished breakfast and we have made the apricot shortbread since returning home (recipe was kindly shared). Would definitely stay here again! Only 3 miles from the Silverwood Themepark.

“A little piece of heaven”

My family loved our time here. Daryl and Al are two of the warmest, kindest, most thoughtful people you will ever meet. All of our three kids (ages 8, 13 and 16) had a great time with the animals, fishing, walking, talking with the other families, and of course, the amazing farm breakfasts!

“Beautiful farm, close to everything in the area”

We just returned from Cedar Mountain Farm Bed and Breakfast (we stayed for five nights) and would highly recommend it to our friends and family. Daryl and Al, the owners, are kind and friendly, and they love children and animals.

We traveled with two young children; our toddler, especially, was a little tired and wild, but the Kyles didn't blink an eye as he tore around the main cabin. We stayed in the Granny's Woods and Springs rooms, which were wonderful for a family, as the two rooms (one with queen bed, the other with a bunk bed) and gorgeous, huge bath are down a hallway and totally private. The accommodations were quiet, comfortable, and very clean; there was a spacious kitchen for the guests to use and even a small library upstairs.

The kids loved the animals on the farm; both adored the sweet, mellow kittens, doggie, and goat (who was so friendly and docile). Our daughter basically carried a kitten around the entire time.

I also think the location of Cedar Mountain Farm is perfect. It's just down the road from Silverwood amusement park (a great waterpark for kids!), about 15 to 20 minutes from downtown Coeur d'Alene (the city park is wonderful and has one of the best playgrounds we've ever seen), and approximately 25 minutes from Sandpoint (which is gorgeous and rivals California for a water destination).

I highly recommend taking a cruise on Lake Pend Oreille (this company allows kids to be Captain for the Day: http://www.lakependoreillecruises.com/). If you like horseback riding, Western Pleasure Ranch has reasonable rates with beautiful, well taken care of horses and allows kids as young as 6 to ride.

Overall, the area has a lot to offer, and Cedar Mountain Farm Bed and Breakfast is a perfect place to stay. The breakfasts were delicious, the nights cool, the days sunny, and the trip a real pleasure.
