“A roof over your head”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2011

This hotel was exactly what you need when you are staying near an attraction, a roof over your head. The room we had was a queen bed room. It came with a fridge and microwave, an outdated TV, and some space to put our gear in the corner. The bathroom was a standup shower and the vanity was in the room. Overall, this room was clean, didn't smell of smoke, and had some noise reduction.

The morning breakfast was all starches, there was a Wall Street Journal in the lobby to read, and the coffee was TERRIBLE. I don't know who actually serves Maxwell House anymore, but I found them! The staff was competent and quick. One quirky thing about this hotel is that you need your card to be able to get into the lobby after dark. It makes you think that this isn't a great part of town, but we didn't hear gunshots or anything, so that level of security seemed unnecessary.

If you are going to six flags, and the rate of this hotel is good, save yourself the parking fees and walk in!

Room Tip: The corner room was quieter and you are less likely to be next to a crazy family that screams. The...

“Good location, everything else needs improvement.”

The hotel is in a great location, we walked to six flags. The rest stunk! The staff was real indifferent and not helpful. During breakfast (bagel & coffee/juice) the lady working closed the breakfast down early, saying she had to watch the front desk. There was roaches in our room, the bathroom door wouldn't close and toilet handle was loose. Beds were uncomfortable and we were provided only two towels for 4 adults.

“Good location, Outdated Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2011 via mobile

Three friends and I are on a roadtrip and stopped here for Six Flags. Location is great, we avoided parking fee and just walked to the park. Rooms were okay and showed obvious signs of wear. Even sheets had the feeling they were being used past prime, similar to feeling of an old t-shirt.

Breakfast was average, nothing hot, last Sleep Inn I was at had waffles so I guess that is a individual property thing.

Overall if you need a place to crash this place is a good value, but anything else there may be better alternatives further away. Without upgrades to hotel, I do not recommend.

The Sleep Inn @ Six Flags was so close to the Six flags park, we saved money on parking. The rooms were great and the breakfast was good. We loved the indoor pool.

“Roach Infested Hotel! DO NOT STAY HERE”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2010

I came in for the weekend from VA with my family to celebrate my daughter's first birthday! We decided to stay here because it was close to all of the family members we were going to visit while here in Atlanta. We checked in and for the most part the hotel was just ok, but we were only going to be sleeping here because we had sooo much planned for the weekend to do! That night we all went out and got backin at about 4am! I woke up at 7am to feed my daughter and when we cut the light on there were roaches everywhere! They were all in our bags, all over the baby bag, and crawilng on the walls and ceilings! I immediately picked up some of the stuff and rushed downstairs! I placed the stuff on the front dedsk counter so that the lady could see it. She asked me what was this stuff that i had placed on the counter and I told her that when we woke up this morning we found roaches EVERYWHERE! She informed me that supposedly about three weeks ago the bug guy came to spray the hotel, but I did not care. I asked for a refund forthe night spent and the additional two nights we had left in our reservation, and she said she could only give me back the money for the two nights left in the reservation!! When I asked why she said she could not refund my money for the night spent because we slept there and we should have come downstairs as soon as we noticed a problem!! That is when I told the front desk lady I did come down stairs as soon as I noticed it, WHEN I WOKE UP this morning!! We had not been there for the majority of the night! Not only did I call CHOICE hotels to report them but I also called the helath department to make a complaint. !! ROACHES EVERYWHERE!!!
