I made a reservation with this hotel back in August, 2011 for a stay the last week of September. For whatever reason, the hotel could not email me a confirmation, but I needed one. So, the hotel faxed me a confirmation which I forwarded to one of our legal techs. When I got ready to depart for my trip to Augusta, I called the hotel to make sure that I had the right hotel in mind for my reservation. When I called the hotel, they told me that they had no record of my reservation and that I should try the other Holiday Inns in the Augusta area. To make a long story short, none of the other hotels in the area had my reservation. Luckily, I contacted a hotel that had rooms at the government rate. Wouldn't you know, Holiday Inn then charged my government card for one night's stay. When I called the hotel to alert them to what had happened and to the fact that I was disputing the charge, the manager told me that he had no record of me having called to confirm my reservation. He said that, had I called, they would have a record of it. He made no apologies for what had happened to me and never conceded that I could possibly be telling the truth about what had occurred. I have never been so badly insulted by anyone acting in a customer service function! I called my phone company to ask about getting a print-out of my calls on the day that I called the hotel to confirm my reservations. The customer service rep told me that she saw four calls to the hotel's number in a 6 minute period. I spoke to them more often than I remembered. Yet, the manager claimed he had no record of my having called! The more I think about this the angrier and more suspicious I get. Given how easily the manager lied to me, I am wondering whether this hotel is engaged in some kind of ongoing billing fraud. In any event, I would warn anybody away from this place.

I apologize for a late response to your reservation problem. It is not like us to not have record of your reservation, much less not having a room for you. This to say the least is not acceptable. We pride oueselves on squeeky clean rooms, great attitudes, repeat guests and great service.
if you are in the Augusta are in the future, please feel free to call me directly for your lodging requirements. I loook forward to youe response.
