“Mixed Feelings”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 February 2011

I traveled as a chaperone for a crew club this past week and we stayed at this hotel.. First of all I thought the staff was great..The kids rowed past the alloted time that breakfast was served and they did keep the kitchen open and served them a large, filling breakfast every day..We needed towels, we had towels. Needed to change a room, not a problem..I had no problem with the staff all. The rooms were very comfortable and able to sleep 4 or 5 comfortable..I did feel uncomfortable a few times with some younger military men there..I respect our military immensely as they sacrifice their lives to protect us but I do have a problem with young men keeping their doors open, drinking beers and watching our teenage girls go up and down the hall way to their friends room...I was uncomfortable letting the girls leave our floor unattended and wouldn't allow it. If I was an adult traveling with adults and needed a place to sleep or was attending Military ceremonies this hotel is great. Otherwise, It was fine for our needs as we only needed a comfortable place to sleep.I.Out all day and most of the early evening..

“BAD BAD Service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2011

We chose this hotel because it was so close to post, BAD decision. It started with reception, as you enter the building there are two cigarette-butt cans, full to capapacity, on either side of the enterence door-BAD order as you enter. There were two cable TVs in the room, the one in the living room area did not work, reporting the problem to management did no good. We stayed for one week and never received a working set. Room was not cleaned every day, we had to go to the front desk to request clean towels. On occassions you will see the receptionist eating chicken wings at the reception desk. This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in and will never stay there or recommend this hotel to anyone. Employees were always on the one computer in the business center. The one treadmill in the small fitness center did not work.

“Frustrating place”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2010

I needed a nice place to stay for a few nights in Augusta. I thought this place would be nice because of the location and amenities. Very dissatisfied with the hotel overall. The room was poorly cleaned (dirty spoon on top of fridge, dirty carpet, last persons aspirin and clothes in the drawers), ill stocked (no kitchen towels, no tissue, no paper towels, only one small tiny trash can in a room with a full kitchen), poorly built (thin walls and doors, plywood under the sink was visible, poorly repaired dry wall). You're supposed to use your keycard to open the exterior door near the pool but the reader didn't work and all you had to do was yank on the door to open it. They said they offered a breakfast but after seeing everything else in the hotel we decided to skip it. Don't waste your time, find a better hotel in Augusta.

“Greatly disappointed.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2010

I'm in the military and stayed in this hotel for two months. The proximity to Fort Gordon is great, and it appears to be the only hotel that close (straight down the street) to the post with fullly equiped kitchens, which was major factor in my decision not to simply pack up and move to another hotel. The staff is nice and courteous, but not as professional as one would expect from a hotel crew. The rooms are equipped with two flat panel TVs with really decent cable selection. The water is always warm/hot and stays that way for as long as you need it. Programable A/C is a plus. The free internet connection isn't equipped to handle the load of people for a hotel this size. I wouln't describe it as high speed. There are no "office" chairs fit for desk use, only two incredibly uncomfortable dining chairs. (I actually bought a desk chair from Office Depot because of my extended stay.) The kitchens are actual "full" kitchens with a standard flat top stove and oven, standard size dishwasher, and full size fridge and freezer, where as most hotels' idea of a full kitchen is a compact diswasher and two hot plates. Only thing missing was a garbage disposal. The kitchens are on the 4th floor which is the smoking floor, so it smells weird in the hallway a lot. Closet space is very small.

Housekeeping is a joke. The houskeeping staff is extremely inconsistent, partly due to a constant number of people not showing up to work. (This is what I'm told when I ask why something hasn't been done to my room) On a regular basis, I will leave for work at 5am and by the time I return at 3 or 4pm, my room will still not be completely serviced. Bed sheets are cleaned on Mondays and they expect you to completly remove the sheets from your bed, other wise they will not be cleaned and the bed will simply be remade. All of the sheets and comforters in the hotel are white and have small permanenet stains on them. The comforter on my king size bed is always too small as if it belongs on a full size bed. I understand the concept of housekeeping not moving personal items to clean, but they dont even move the things that are already in the room to clean. I moved my couch because I didn't like its position in the room and it was apparent that it had never been vaccumed underneath. Doors are not moved and mopped behind.

The tenants in the hotel do tend to be quite noisy. I during my stay there have been several family reunion groups, high school sport teams, and young Soldiers often get rooms on the weekends to get away from the training environment on post. I have never witnessed noise levels being regulated by the staff. The doors on the side of the hotel are not locked after hours and even though there is a room key reader at the main entrance, it isn't employeed after hours either. Though I've never used the pool, it's pretty small. The "gym" only has two tredmills and a small suana. The parking lot setup leaves a bit to be desired.

“STAY AWAY!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 July 2010 via mobile

The noise level is ridiculous! The staff sucks at night! We had dirty sheets and blankets on the sofa bed when we came in. A guys I talked to in the hotel told me that they booked him a room that people are having a party in, so they have nowhere to stay. We never got the the blakets and pillow that we asked for. The sheets on the king bed where clean at least. There were kids with a dog, and the dog peed in the elevator and several spots in the stairwell. The pool is pathetic! I think I grew grey hair while waiting for the elevator. Get as far away from that place as you can!!!!
