We stayed at the Holiday Inn express Athens Uni in January for 5 nights. We were visiting because we had travelled from the UK to see a band and friends at the local 40 Watt Club. We only needed somewhere to put our heads at night so booked one of the cheaper available. We were totally suprised at the level of service we received from the wonderful friendly staff.The room was well decorated and very very clean. Plenty of toiletries available in the bathroom,towels were clean and changed everyday if required. Housekeeping was thorough. The whole building always appeared clean and tidy and smelled as fresh as a daisy no matter what time of the day you walked through.(4am)..The complimentry breakfast was great to get you up and going in the morning with plenty of choice for everyone. I cannot say enough how friendly the reception staff were and they are a credit to the chain. We had a small problem with the toilet in our room and the Handyman was with us within 5 mins and fixed the problem straight away..Why cant all hotels provide this level of service? Totally enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back..

I've been staying at this hotel off and on since 2006. The quality has been very consistent and I suspect management can be thanked for that. The desk staff is always attentive and pleasant. The rooms are reasonably priced (as long as you avoid home games). The breakfast is pretty standards Holiday Inn Express food, but it is well presented and the individuals caring for the breakfast have always been kind and very helpful.

A year or two ago the hotel spent money on the exterior. Sadly, little money has been spent on the interior and the rooms are beginning to look a little worn. They have wide screen TVs, refrigerators, microwaves -- and the furniture is not particularly worn or damaged. But they do need to spend money on things like paint and replacing moldy caulk on bathtubs.

Wireless is good and seems consistent, although in a few rooms the signal strength has been less than perfect. I can't, however, figure out where those rooms are, so it seems to be hit or miss.

This is still a very reasonably priced hotel for the Athens area.

I stayed here for 1 night with my wife while visiting family in Athens.
Not a bad place all in all. Good front desk customer service, and a welcome gift for being in Priority Club Rewards (Holiday Inn treats their frequent travelers well).
The bed was very comfortable in the room.
Had a minor issue at checkout with the billing, but it was resolved courteously.
The interior of the hotel and hallways is quite dated. 70s feel. The elevators are extremely small, so if you are lugging a lot of luggage on a cart, but prepared for a tight squeeze.
The hotel is adjacent to a small housing project, but the hotel property itself is well-lit, and I saw active security. I didn't feel unsafe here.
Not top-notch but good service here. I might stay here again when in Athens.

Super friendly and helpful Reception. Room clean and well presented though pillows a bit on the small side. Free wifi/ethernet. Good free breakfast. Coffee and cookies available in reception area throughout the day. All in all a very pleasant stay.
