We stayed for two nights at The Colonel's. We arrived late and the Colonel was waiting for us with a recommendation for dinner nearby - DePalma's, it was delicious. Our room was cozy with a wonderful bed and luxurious linens. The grounds were so peaceful. The Colonel prepared a full breakfast each morning and they were delicious - especially the pancakes, you have a choice of which fruit you want added. His knowledge of the history of the area is amazing and his recommendations for the best places to eat and visit were right on target.
It is close to everything, yet far enough out to afford a peaceful stay.
