I stayed here just after the tropical storm / Cat 1 hurricane passed. The Reef House is designed and geared for divers..... U can dive the same day you arrive....3400 psi fills... easy going dive masters.... Bottom time >60 mins....open bar.....great meals... Mike is passionate @ U being happy. To be honest, I was exhausted after 7 days and needed another vacation :) Couple items : beds a bit firm, the ceiling fan rattled a bit, no flushing the toilet paper, canned corn and the dive boat reminded me of the African River Queen !! I thought the dives around Old Port Royal were awesome !

We really had a good time at the Reef House Resort. The owners and staff were so accommodating to the needs of our group. We had vegetarians, people that needed gluten free food etc. and they made sure that everyone got what they needed. The food was incredibly tasty and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and they all made sure we were all happy and taken care of. The dive staff was also wonderful and very friendly. If you're looking for all the frills of a large resort this wouldn't be the place for you, but we all like the smaller, more personable atmosphere of the small resorts. We all like the "down to basics" family feeling and the Reef House was everything we were looking for. Even when you're not in the water diving you can see all the critters in the tide pool or off the pier. We would look for things in the morning while drinking our coffee, and at night with flashlights. We saw moray eels, octopus, crabs and many other creatures right from the pier. That was especially fun for the non divers of the group. We had a large group and all like to be on the same dive boat and they had no problem with that. All of the dives were amazing. We'll certainly be going back!!!

I just spent two weeks at the Reef House Resort in Roatan, Honduras and I have to say that I can't wait to go back. I wish I didn't have to leave.

My primary purpose in staying two weeks was to build material for an underwater photography portfolio and I have to say I was not disappointed at all.

The Reef House Resort was a great place to stay. The accomodations were very comfortable, the food was excellent and the service was top-notch.

Mike (the owner) was very hands-on in every aspect of the resort and went out of his way to make sure everyone had anything/everything they needed. The resort is located away from the West End so there is no "night life" to speak of. For a relaxing "DIVE" vacation, this is exactly the type of place one should look for.

The resort was great. The entire staff was great. ALL of the other guests were fantastic. And last but not least,.. the diving was absolutely incredible.

I really can't say enough good things about my stay at the Reef House Resort. The best way to sum it up is this: 40 dives over 12 days of diving and a little over 5,000 pictures taken.

My sister and I just returned from a week at the Reef House Resort (www.reefhouseresort.com) in Roatan, Honduras. The trip exceeded my expectations. I must caution -- this is not the West End. The resort is located on a small key (cay?) that is only accessible by boat. The focus of trips here are basically – Eat, Sleep, Dive (not necessarily in that order). Partying/nightlife is not one of the purposes.

Getting There:
Convenient! Fly into Roatan (usually Saturday or Sunday from the US). Someone is there to meet you at the airport and help collect your bags. Transportation to/from the airport is included.

Accommodations:
Comfortable! There are only 12 or so rooms, each has two queen-sized beds, a flat screen TV with cable, A/C, hot private shower, and all the fresh drinking water you can consume. You can also refill your bottles with drinking water from a cooler in the main lodge. Free wi-fi is available in the rooms and lodge area.

Food:
Incredible! Three home-cooked meals, served on individual plates (no buffet). Each meal had home-made bread or tortillas and dinner included dessert (also home-made). After the third dive, fresh cookies or sweet rolls were available. Everything was fresh, wonderful, filling, and just downright DELICIOUS!

Juice and Iced Tea are provided with every meal. Alcohol and soft drinks are not included in the price (beer $2, sodas $1). The bar is an on-your-honor system. You can also bring your own alcohol or drinks.
