Deffinetly a place to be when you go to Livigston. We receive one of the casitas with the balcony facing the bay. The reccomandation of other tripadvisor visitors were helpful and indeed the view from this room is unobstructed and magnificent. Especially to wake up in the morning and seat on thebalcony watching the sun rays playing with the water and trees. The room is well kept. No problem with water ect.
The breakfast is substantialy below the standard of such a place. Very limited variety, non drinkble coffy, etc..

Just returned from a fantastic 8 days in Belize and Guatemala. We ended our journey in Livingston, Guatemala and could not have been happier with our choice of the Hotel Villa Caribe. We originally had booked for only one night, but after experiencing such a lovely hotel and dining in the fabulous restaurant, we extended our stay. Ending our vacation at the Villa Caribe was like another vacation in itself. Manfred, the hotel manager went out of his way to make our stay memorable by ensuring we had a room with an unobstructed view of the sea. I look forward to returning to the Villa Caribe.....I am yearning for more!

Just got back from a two week visit to Guatemala and have to say it was time well spent. Livingston was the last leg of our vacation before returning home and wasnt really sure about where to stay there that wouldnt hurt our budget. We were told of a promotion offered by Villa Caribe and didnt hesitate to take up such a good offer. Upon arriving it was exactly what we needed for a couple nights; a beautiful Casita overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

They have done some great upgrades to the property since I last visited and have got to give them credit for it all.
The pool was beautiful and very relaxing after a long day in the sun.
The Casita was very welcoming.
The A la carte breakfast that was included in the room rate was more than we could ask for.
The Front Desk staff and Managers were very helpful in every aspect.
The grounds was well maintained.
I know we all travel on a different budget but would certainly recommend Villa Caribe to those visiting Livingston.

We spent three nights at Villa Caribe. We loved it all, the casita with AC and TV, the food and the staff. They had a promotion on for US$100 per night included a three course dinner and a great breakfast chosen a la carte.
No, the staff does not speak much English but if you try to speak Spanish and they try to speak a bit of English, it works perfectly. The staff was very nice. and we got along great.

The view over the ocean and swimming pool is fantastic. Great pool too.
Livingston is a great place to visit with its Garifuna culture. Do go and see and listen to Rasta Mesa where they drum and dance like that did hundreds of years ago.
