We spent a couple of nights in Jenna's b&b in Panajachel.
That was the highlight of our trip around Atitlan lake.
we spent 4 other nights in the area, and Jenna's b&b topped them all.
The home hosputality, and Jenniffer's cooking made it a special experience.
Jennifer's knowledge of Guatemala, its culture and special attrections,
made the rest of our trip much richer

Jennifer is amazing - she makes you feel like you're part of the family. She is a fantastic chef and everyday we would look forward to amazing breakfast spread - mango juice, her great chutneys, crepes, huevos rancheros. Everything was top of the line.

Also she has the cutest 3 dogs - who are most adorable.

The only thing missing from this place is a view of the lake. However Jenna more than makes up for it by being a great host. The location is great as well - it is about a 50 steps away from Lake Atitlan.

Excellent location, just off the lake and close to the town, but extremely peaceful.
Excellent homemade/organic breakfast (see above, Jenna is a great cook).
Lovely room and homely decorated (Jenna is also an artist and has good taste).
Relaxing garden with hammock; in case you get bored of the beautiful Lake Atitlan.

Also comes with three very sweet dogs.

I was so fortunate to find this bed and breakfast. I chose it based on other reviews. Since I was traveling alone I wanted a place where someone would know if I didn't come home. The owner was so helpful before I even arrived. She answered every silly question I had promptly by email. She also arranged my airport pickup. The driver, Trinidad was wonderful. Her home is right off the main street and close to the lake shore. A great location. Jennifer had so much advice about what to see and do. She even helped me buy a cell phone. It was like staying with your sister who is also a gourmet cook. Everything was delicious. I also opted for dinner every night for a small additional charge. It was so worth it. Panajachel is small and there are not that many dining options. You must like dogs since she has 3 adorable housemates. I was very comfortable and recommend her home if you want something more personal than a hotel. It is also much more reasonable.
