I stayed 2 days in the Princess Hotel in Guatemala City. The location is great - close to the airport - means you don't lose vacation time for the commute to the airport. The hotel provides a free shuttle. The staff at the reception was extremely helpful with all concerns. I had forgotten to remove the "Don't disturb" sign from my room and they sent a very meticulous chamber maid to clean up the room in the evening which was squeaky clean afterward. I had only asked for the free coffee supply that you receive for the coffee machine in your room once a day but they offered to make up the whole room.
I stayed on the Imperial (5th) floor. The white linen was fine, smooth and nicely embroidered and the bed was very comfortable to sleep in. The TV had a large flat screen, ~ 90 channels, English and German speaking channels were available. My internet password was included - it was a number that I got with my room key, same for user name and password and the internet access was fast and good. I loved the green and white marbled bathroom. The shower was strong and hot. Shower cap, shoe mitt, shampoo, conditioner and soap were provided. The breakfast buffet offered a broad range of items from cereal over fresh fruit, multiple bread choices, ham, sausage, cheese and scrambled or hard boiled eggs, and I understand the lunch and dinner food was well liked in my group. Due to very specific diet requirements I bought my special food at the big market hall and can't judge the food in the hotel myself. I haven't checked out the gym or the pool - my group went on various excursions and I was too tired.
