A 9:30pm arrival from Houston and a 6:30am flight to Flores meant my friend and I needed somewhere close, reliable and good value to crash for our first night in Guatemala. Thanks to a great offer through Expedia, and the fact there was free airport transport, we picked the Radisson.
The driver was waiting for us when we came through arrivals, and the hotel was very near by. Somehow we ended up with a suite, which was absolutely huge! Although I'd booked a twin room, it turned out there was only a superking bed, but we were so tired and the bed was so massive we weren't about to complain. It was really comfy too.
The only problem we had was that we couldn't work out how to turn on the shower and had to call maintenance! We were expecting it to be one of those lever mixer taps like you get everywhere these days, but to turn it on you had to pull the whole tap away from the wall rather than just tilting it. But that was the only issue.
The free internet terminals on the landings were very handy, and there was also free tea and coffee, fruit and biscuits in the lobby which made a good little breakfast while we waited for the 4:15am (ouch!) airport shuttle.
I'd definitely recommend this hotel for anyone arriving on a relatively late flight as it's a completely hassle free way to start your trip.
