“Great Alternative to Americus B&B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2009

My wife and I stayed at 1906 Pathway Inn on February 13th - 15th, 2009. We decided to go back to Americus because we had a great time last visit. We previously stayed at the Americus B&B, but they were booked. We had gift cards from bedandbreakfast.com so we decided to use them here, which was not a problem. Chuck and Angela (inn keepers) are very nice and cook a good breakfast each morning. My wife and I stayed in the Carter Room, 2nd floor. The room is spacious and I liked the wirlpool. It can get hot at night, but the windows open and the fan is great. The room gets really dark at night, which is great because I don't like light at night. All-in-all we had a great time. We met Jimmy Carter at the Sunday Bible Study, so I definitely recommend going to that event - it is once in a lifetime.

“Wonderful dream!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2008

This was our first B & B experience and it was fabulous! Chuck and Angela made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped through the door!

The home is absolutely gorgeous and for the 2 days that we were there, it honestly felt like our home! Everything is so beautiful, but comfortable.

Chuck and Angela give you a key to the home, so you are free to come and go as you wish. We loved our room and we felt like royalty.

Breakfast was amazing. Chuck is a fabulous cook and our breakfast was yummy and piping hot each morning! We even had the pleasure of meeting some of the other guests during breakfast and it just honestly felt like a family event.

If you want to be spoiled and pampered, Chuck and Angela are the people who will make it happen! It was like a wonderful dream!!!!!

We WILL be back!!!!

“Beautiful Bed and Breakfast in Americus”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2007

We were in the quaint town of Americus for a family renunion and stayed at the 1906 Pathway Inn. I was so nice and cozy. The rooms were decorated in Victorian and historic themes, as this area is the home of former President Jimmy Carter. The Inn was so quiet, we didn't even know there were other guests there til breakfast the next morning. Every amenity was provided; we couldn't have asked for more. In the morning our breakfast was superb, from fresh fruit and juice to bacon and sausage from the locals, baked goods and breakfast burrito with salsa. The presentation at the meal was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Great conversations with the innkeepers; he is a former offshore fishing charter captain from the Florida Keys as is my husband, so you can imagine the Fishing Tales. What a truly enjoyable experience!! I am sure we will return. Thank you! Thank you!!

“Delightful get-a-way in a historic B&B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2007

We arrived for a quiet get-a-way for our 29th Anniversary and were greeted by the scene of a softly lit Victorian Inn. Chuck met us at the door, welcomed us in, offered us a hot drink and took us to our room. The room was pleasantly decorated in a Victorian style and had a private balcony. (Unfortunately, due to an uncharacteristic drop in the Georgia temperature, we were only able to stay on the balcony for a short period--long enough for picture though!)
Thoughtful extras like instrumental CDs and a player, scents and candles for the jacuzzi and bathroom, and cozy robes gave the room a special touch.
The beauty of the sunlight streaming through the stained glass window on the stairwell created dancing rainbows on the wall.
There were many photo opportunites. The breakfasts were hot and delicious as were the cookies. The table settings made us feel like royalty.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Thank you Angela and Chuck

“sooooo nice!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2006

Beautiful B&B! Lovely owners! Breakfast was such a yummy treat.
The room was very pretty and clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Bell Room which was downstairs and near the backdoor, very convenient for coming and going. We felt right at home.
One of us was celebrating a birthday and a small cake was waiting on us in the sitting room when we returned from dinner. We just had a wonderful stay and will return, probley next year for the Plains Peanut Festival!
