Pros: High speed wifi, comfortable bed

Cons: Dirty bathroom, minimal continental breakfast, unorganized staff, low health rating (80) at breakfast area.

It used to be a Holiday Inn Express; spend one night there and you'll see why it isn't anymore.

I stayed at the Baymont Inn Americus one night in order to go to the Jimmy Carter sites the next morning. Of the three hotels near each other (Hampton Inn, Jameson Inn, Baymont Inn), the Baymont had the cheapest walk-up rate. The non-smoking room had no smell. I was able to park right outside the room's door. The bed was comfy, and the air-conditioning worked well. The TV had good cable. Best was the included wifi, which worked very well. The front desk workers were very friendly. The room also had a microwave, fridge, and ironing board. Breakfast had bagels, toast, hard-boiled eggs, waffles, cereal, apples, danishes, muffins, juices, milk, and coffee (pretty nice!). A Super Walmart is just down the street. Negatives about the room were my room's door handle was broken, the chair and carpet were dirty, and the shower was only so-so. Overall, I would stay again, especially for the price ($54 + tax).

My family of four stayed four days (Fri thru Mon) and was unable to get four bath clothes and towels. Management said the hotel next door took their cart of bath clothes and kept giving me hand towels that had lost the whiteness. That's not acceptable. The staff was very friendly. However, it's the same old Holiday Inn with no changes. At night, Holiday Inn shines right through Baymont Inn. If you are forced to stay here, bring your own bath clothes and towels.

We stayed here in Feb, 2011 and found the place old, dirty and run down. The staff was friendly and helpful though and for the money I guess overall it was OK. Next time we are in the area we will stay elsewhere.
