“Sea Front Inn FANTASTIC!”

Sea Front Inn, the best place to stay in Punta Gorda Belize! My husband and I had never been to Belize and spent months making our plans. We flew into Belize City and caught a Maya Island Airline flight right in the airport to our first stop - Punta Gorda. We planned to stay in Punta Gorda for two weeks using it as our base for travel in the southern most point of Belize and northern Guatemala. We rented an apartment at the Sea Front Inn which is located right on the Caribbean Sea. The first thing that we noticed was the beautiful view we had. Then we were greeted by Carol the owner, who told us she was awaiting our arrival and had our apartment all ready for us. She escorted us to the apartment and we were immediately thrilled with the size and features. Our apartment had two large comfortable beds, a couch; color TV, full kitchen with all the necessities, ceiling fans, air conditioning, a wonderful bathroom with the greatest hot shower ever and the entire apartment was nicely decorated with a Belizean flair. The room was clean and the bedding and towels smelled so nice. As wonderful as the apartment was the best part was we had a beautiful balcony that had a wonderful view and a pier and swimming area right in front of us. Since we didn’t rent a car we especially appreciated the short walk to the main area of town, market, bank, restaurants and immigration/customs port which is where we caught our boat to Livingston - Guatemala. After our two weeks in Punta Gorda and the Seafront Inn we must say we have NEVER met such friendly people in any place we had ever traveled. Punta Gorda and the Sea Front Inn are a winning combination when visiting Belize. We highly recommend this for travelers that are looking for a relaxing environment and or fishing, kayaking, swimming, cultural sites, waterfalls, caving or spending a few hours or days in Guatemala.

“Hospitable, comfortable, unique”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2010

Larry and Carol Smith, the owners, treated us like old friends and could not have been more hospitable. We had lunch at the Snack Shack nearby which is operated by their daughter, April, and her husband Roberto.....very good food. The Sea Front Inn offers a wonderful ocean view with refreshing sea breezes. Each room has a theme and all are unique. I stayed in the Dolphin. If in Punta Gorda, stay at the Sea Front Inn. “One night was too much... peace and quiet! Second night, it's awesome. :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2010

It took me a day or two to realize what real peace and quiet is. Coming from busy North America and the sounds of life... it took me a bit to get used to the sound of the ocean or the breeze through the palm trees. Seriously it is tranquil. Sea Font Inn is charming and quaint. The staff and owners of this lovely inn are always happy to help and advise you on your stay, If you walk through the little town of PG, everybody knows everybody and they're friendly... little shops and vendors. Serviced by a small airport you can easily fly up the coast to the bigger cities if you crave that sort of thing but it sure was nice to come back to the Sea Front Inn. I lived there for 3 months while working on a movie in 2007, 2009 was my closest "date of stay" option for a review... but in the two times I have been there over two years, all the good things I experienced remained the same. I stayed in the Manatee room - it's your own apartment, with kitchen bedroom, sitting area with a couch, Color TV, air conditioning, spacious bathroom / tiled shower and balcony. But they had a variety of rooms - all unique. If you're looking for a taste of culture in your travels - you won't be sorry you stayed at the Sea Front Inn and made friends with Miss Karol and Mister Larry (as the locals call them).

My husband and I have traveled to PG (as the locals call it) for many years. We ALWAYS stay at the Seafront Inn. The owners, Larry and Carol Smith, are genuine folks who make it a point to make our stay comfortable. The accommodations are great. AC, TV, and private bathroom in all the rooms. We highly recommend them to anyone headed that way!!
