“long term service to travelers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

I wanted to thank the staff of Sea Front Inn through this review for their long term service to travelers from around the world. I have been staying there for many years and they not only have inviting rooms and the best view of the water in Punta Gorda but the staff has always arranged in country flights and water activities for us, making our stay easier and more fun. The owners are long-terms residents making them more knowledgeable about the area and the local history than the more recently arrived resort owners. deb from Colorado

Room Tip: rooms on the 2nd floor have balconies.

“Excellent Stay. Fair Price”

The staff was very friendly. The rooms were awesome. It was a very good nights sleep after hard days of mission work. The continental breakfast left a little to be desired but was nicely arranged and clean. The hot water and powerful shower was a huge plus. Very nice place to stay. I will be staying there again.

Room Tip: Ask for the Iguana room. Very secure next to the office.

“Way too much to spend on this type of place.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 May 2011

We had no idea what to expect when getting to Punta Gorda. We were only staying one night on our way to Livingston. The room was same and minimal, and pretty clean, but SO not worth $70 a night. They claim to have breakfast free of charge in the morning, so we went upstairs where it was supposed to be. There was only coffee. We sat up there for quiet a while with the hotel staff coming and going and then the room started to fill up. We then realized there was going to be a class for some of the locals. When we went downstairs to ask about the breakfast, the girl at the front said "Well, I guess I could get you something. I saw you upstairs and was wondering what you were doing in the class." Why wouldn't you say something then??? There is not much in Punta Gorda. Small town.

“Well worth the beautiful drive south, plan to stay more than just one night!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 May 2011

We are so lucky to have stumbled upon this delightful property! Even though we had a car, we were delighted to be within walking distance of everything, and returning after dark felt completely safe with on-site security greeting us. The room were so cute, (I peeked into my in-laws) and I loved the themes. The continental breakfast was the best I've had in years. Each tray is carefully prepared and waiting for you as early as you rise. I later found out that the owners daughter owns the nearby "Snak-Shak" that was responsible for the muffins! We took a trip to Snake Island on a boat run by Roberto, and I highly recommend it...especially if the dolphins make another appearance :) Just ask the owners of the hotel, or April at the Snak-Shak, and it will be your best day in Belize!!! We cannot wait to return!

“A breezy hotel on the Caribbean sea”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 April 2011

I usually opt for the Sea Front, having been to Punta Gorda many times and knowing the town fairly well. The accommodations are very comfortable, and all the amenities are very convenient: cable tv, a/c, wireless internet, breakfast, AND hot water; definitely a rare find to score all of these in a single hotel in Belize. Staff is courteous and the hotel is quiet, and has a FANTASTIC breeze through my room (I stay in the dolphin room) and a beautiful little veranda overlooking the sea. PG is a small town, so the hotel is easily walkable from the center. If I had one caveat it would be to close the windows and doors at night, and let the AC do its job. Mosquitoes can TOTALLY wreck your night if you're not expecting them.

Room Tip: I like the dolphin or manatee rooms
