On a visa run from the CA4 region me and my boyfriend went to Punta Gorda for 3 days. We looked at several places before we found Mahung's Inn. Although located close to the dock and the center on town there is no signs to this place, and could be hard to find. If you face the Esso station take the road on the right heading to town to the first crossroad. The family has a store there (marked with western union) and a pharmacy. The price is 35 belize dollars (17US) for the room, no matter if you are 1 or 2 (or maybe 3?) people. The room has two beds, bathroom with hot water and a tv with about 100 channels. Best deal we could find in town! Since there is not very much to do in PG and we didnt feel like spending alot of money the 100 channels on the tv in the room was very convenient. It is not a new place and it would definitely do with some new paint on the walls and a proper scrub down, but it's clean and the owners provide you with towels and soap. The owners of this place are really helpful and Mr. Mahung took us around town in his pickup one of the days we were there. Absolutely a place to recommend if you are spending a night or 3 in Punta Gorda.
