A group of us chartered a Moorings catamaran and sailed throughout the islands. Halfway through our trip we stopped at South Waters Resort to refill out water tanks and attend a private party put together by Maria Cabral. The party was fun for all and included fantastic appetizers and dinner!!! Maria made the food that was delicious and there was was more than enough for our group of nine. All of us did plenty of dancing and with the help of Marie we learned Belize's Punta Rock. Maria was very friendly, outgoing and made us feel at home. Not only was South Waters Resort great to work with but so was Moorings!!! All in all, an excellent experience!

I would recommend the South Waters Resort. It is a little away from the main hub, but 3 minutes walk from the "busy area" in Placencia. Right next to the Crow's Nest Cafe - my favourtie eating place and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The have both cabanas and more hotel-like rooms both of which are very nice.

South Waters Resort is the place to be if you want privacy, good romantic atmosphere. Great atmosphere for proposal to a love one. The housekeeping is great. Everyday your room is clean and fresh sweet sheets and towels are replaced in your room. Downy cannot compete. From the cabanas you can hear the waves on the beach. Stress out ! Make a reservation at South Waters Resort and rejuvenate.

We went to South Waters Resort at the end of February and were happy to see that the resort that we chose was better than we had expicted. Our intent was to get married there at the resort. They helped us from begaining to the end, no worry's We did not feel like we were tourist but more like family. Our stay was 9 days long and we got to stay in both the Cabana and the Condo. We did see some ants, only a few......( It is the tropics ). We had an inclusive package deal and believe me.... they took real good care of us. We got to chose what adventures and what day to go on them. Our favorit trip was going snorkeling. The staff were friendly and helpful , in fact two of them were in our wedding. Which turned out great.
The food at The Crows Nest was good with a varity of choices. We loved the breakfast ......."The Special".
There Beachfront was a little short, lots of palms, but more privite. For the large wide open beach it was a 5 minute walk up the beach ...... might I also add .... less privite but not crowded by any means. Very nice.
We enjoyed the people and the resort. Plan to go back again
