We just returned from a week at the cabana's. If you are looking for a private, secluded vacation this is perfect. We enjoyed it very much. We never saw the owners and only saw the staff a few times when they were checking on things or raking the seaweed back into the sea. We never even saw the other guest! The dogs are nice but they do beg for food and lay all over the outdoor furniture, the beds in the cabanas are hard and the bugs there are really bad, we used bug spray with 98% deet and still got ate alive, the outdoor furniture is pretty much the beds for the dogs and the hammocks are dirty and worn from being outside all the time! Seine Bight is a disgusting little village with trash everywhere, the only village we saw that was this way. Placencia is very quaint and friendly and clean, most of the other villages we went to were fairly clean except Seine Bight and we went from Belize City to San Ingaciao to Punta Gorda and back to the cabanas. We had a very memorable experience here and the cabanas suited our needs perfectly.
