If you are looking for a perfect place to stay for a peaceful and relaxing holiday- look no further. The Maine Stay is a little piece of paradise. You need only step out of your cabana to enjoy a beautiful white beach which you virtually have to yourself. The pier is a wonderful place to catch some of the Caribbean breeze and watch the sunrise. The porch and deck are huge and so comfortable, with overhead fans and the ocean breeze. We had very warm temperatures, but never felt the need to turn on the air conditioner.
The accommodations are very comfortable and you have everything you need to keep you as lazy or active as you want to be. Bikes, kayaks, water toys, horseshoes, board games, and my personal favourite- hammocks! Everything is clean and well maintained. Any concerns are dealt with immediately.
This is a safe and secure place. We felt quite comfortable going to bed, or leaving the place for a day. All measures have been taken to ensure your security.
We were 2 couples, and found the setup is perfect. We each had our own sleeping quarters and bathrooms, as well as plenty lounges to share. You can’t go wrong with the Maine Stay!

The cabanas are beautiful! Right on the ocean with its own dock. Very private section of beach where we found star fish, hermit crabs and just a short swim (walk) out to coral reefs. Beautiful sunrises and crystal clear, warm waters. The extra amenities are great - kayak, float toys, etc.

Placencia is the place to get groceries and supplies. Wendy's is a great restaurant. The shops and home-made crafts are very nice! and not that expensive.

This was my first time vacationing outside of the US and couldn't have picked a better location. There were 6 people in our group and we stayed at the Main Stay for 6 days. The cabanas were clean, the beach was right outside your gate and very white and clean, the landscaping was great and the cabanas were clean and cool with all the large ceiling fans and the breeze off the sea. Unlike a resort, you basically have your own beach and dock and have privacy to lounge in the hammocks or assorted chairs and loungers that are abundant at the cabanas. You also have a small coral reef off the dock in turquoise waters that you can wade out to. Great place!! I would recommend it and would like to go back soon!!!

Thank you Drew and Karen, once again our trip was amazing! This was our second time staying at the Maine Stay and everything was as perfect as our first visit. Kids enjoyed their time on the beach and visiting with everyone! Hope to have the chance to return!
