Really wonderful reception when we arrived (see photos) Sara the manageress was wonderful, anything we needed was provided, (Thank you Sara!) jacuzzi on the roof top with a wonderful view of the ocean was our evening respite after diving. King size bed was SO comfortable allowing an excellent nights sleep. A/C was great, so cool!!
We will certainly return to 'Sea view Suites' (La Chapelle Suites)

My husband and I toured Belize, on a low budget, looking for a place to retire. Corozal Town was dead, Cayo area (San Ignacio) was ok but not much to do there, finally fell in love with Placencia. This was the first hotel I found that had everything we needed...a soft bed, air conditioning for no extra charge, free internet, clean linens and American style comfort! The lady in the office was very nice. Occupancy was very low at this time of year (New Year's Day plus the next 3 days) which was fine with us. Even though our room was at the front of the hotel, right on the main walkway, it was very quiet. My only fault with the hotel might be no restaurant, but there are plenty of great places to eat within walking distance. We didn't use it but there is also a hot-tub and observation area on the roof. This hotel just changed owners, at the same time we stayed there, so I hope they don't change the quality of their rooms. They are not the cheapest place to stay in Placencia, but the little extra was worth it for a great nights sleep! Would definately stay there again.

We had reservations at another place which were not to our liking and took a stroll along the narrow walkway when we happened on a lady who was supervising the planting of flowers in front of these suites. After talking with her a few minutes and expressing of our dislike of our last nights reservation she said that she had purchased this property a couple of weeks ago and showed us the rooms. We were overjoyed with what we saw and immediately cancelled our previous room and moved. The name, La Chapelle Suites has been changed to Sea View Suites but maintains the staff and is getting some updating and beautications. I believe the charge is US $75. per night and worth every bit of that. We were impressed with the with the cleanlessness, beds, size of the rooms and amenties such as a microwave, coffee pot and refrigerator, A/C, plus free internet connections. The sheets and towels were fresh and top quality. There is also a roof top area for lounging. The location is very central for shopping and eating. The service was exceptional. We are looking forward to a return to visit and recommend anyone traveling to Placencia to be sure and check Sea View Suites for a great stay.

We came to Placencia not sure where we wanted to stay and saw La Chapelle. It is a charming place to stay in the middle of everything! Staff were extremely friendly and the price was great! We know where we will stay next time we come for vacation!
