Pros:
Right on the beach.
Great location and right in town.
All rooms have balcony's right on the beach.

Cons:
At night the termites and roaches enter the rooms.
Stray dogs bark all night.
In the morning the birds wake you up.

I enjoyed my stay at PAL's Guest House. The location of the guest house and the staff made me enjoy my time there. The guest house sits right on the beach so I was able to watch the rising of the sun in the morning. Additionally, I was able to walk the beach and watch the local kids as they played.
The place was clean and cozy. It was a nice get away.
The staff was fabulous and were pleasant and eager to share information.
I would eagarely recommend PAL's to solo travelers or those travelling in a group.

Stopped in Dangriga twice and stayed at Pals Guest house. The accomodations were basic but very clean. The view from the 2nd floor overlooking the ocean was great with the sun rising on the balcony each morning. I liked this place as it was on the edge of town with its own very clean and private beach. Great for swimming. I would recommend Pals Guest house to those visiting Dangriga. If you love to get into the culture of Belize Dangriga is a great place to visit. People are friendly and the overall atmosphere was very community oriented. If you ever run into a local guy named Joseph at the bus station who suggests he can take you on a tour dont bother. He doesnt like walking, he only takes you to the Blue Hole off the highway even though he will mention a dozen places you will go. Nice guy but not a tour guide, dont waste your money.

Unless you're going to Tobacco Caye, love Garifuna drumming, or are visiting somewhere on the Hummingbird Highway for some sort of eco-adventure... Dangriga is probably not for you. The town is a bit strange...It's not set up for tourism at all and for some, the town might make them feel uneasy.

Pal's was actually a decent hotel. Reasonably affordable with a nice balcony and good breeze, internet, and clean rooms (stay on the top floor). The sunrise in the morning was excellent. Staff were nice.

The only place you can eat here is the Chinese Food Restaurant, or drop by the Riverside Cafe to feel extra welcome.

If you're planning on going to Tobacco Caye...ask at the Riverside Cafe and Dock for William.
