“Laid back, beach B & B”

We stayed 5 nights at Hopkins Inn in March 2007. It was sparkling clean, with lovely breakfasts served on the veranda each morning. Rita was extremely helpful as a host, and not intrusive. Our double was huge, with a fridge and dining table, and another bed. The two room, four person cabin was a bit tight for two adults and two kids, but excellent value.

The beach is lovely, with great swimming. We made day trips to Toucan Sittee, Mayflower Reserve, and Cockscomb Basin (lovely tubing down the river) -- each is less than an hours' drive.
Hopkins Village is a small, laid back tropical town, very friendly. The restaurants are all on tropical time with slow service and unpredictable hours, but generally very good food at great prices. The Indian restaurant was very good, when it was open!

Lovely, clean accomodations, friendly, helpful owners.
We enjoyed exploring the village and spending time relaxing.
Be sure to visit the beach bar next to the Inn.

we stayed at the hopkins inn and loved the village! the owners were very friendly and helpful, and brought breakfast to our room on the beach. the locals there were the friendliest people we met in all of belize (everyone we met was friendly, but these people were extra friendly). the garinagu culture there was amazing, and we spent the nights at the local bar dancing to the live improv drumming. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

“My idea of perfect”

We spent 5 nights at the Hopkins Inn and loved it. Our Cabana was 100 ft. from the ocean right in the Village of Hopkins. The grounds were loveley, the were owners fantactic and the cabana spotlessly clean. However, if you don't like the idea of no airconditioning, no phones, and no T.V., one of the isolated resorts south of the village might be more to your liking.
