Paradise Bay Villa's was quite a nice apartment style hotel but extremely dirty and lots of bugs including in the beds. We stayed there for 2 weeks and spent over $2000 Belizean at this hotel but was treated TERRIBLY by the owner Herman. We constantly felt like we were inconveniencing him by being there. He FLIPS out on his customers to the point of bringing them to tears for no reason at all, he screamed at us if we asked for fresh water to drink or toilet paper . He would swear at us, scream at us. We didnt have hot water in our shower from the very first day we got there and when we told him he said it was our fault and it took him over a week to fix it and then when he did we realized that the breaker kept shutting off on its own but we were to scared to even tell him that as he would blame us although it was obviously an electrical problem so we all showered in cold water including my 3 year old daughter just so we wouldnt have to hear him scream at us anymore. The sheets on the beds felt greasy like they had been washed in cooking oil. The only reason we even stayed there after we were treated so poorly was because it was an apartment style hotel with kitchen and 2 bedrooms which we needed because we were a large group.
