The title 'beach resort' is a misnomer as there is no beach just a small concrete jetty jutting into water. The location is good with easy access to the town. The rooms are comfortable but nothing special. The reception staff have forgotten how to smile and the response to my request for information as to how to get to Cerros was not helpful.

I have been staying here for 3 days once a year for many years, the rooms are a bit dated but they have in room WiFi now. The open air restaurant is by the water with a new deck area. The food is fine, grouper, fajitas etc. There are some 2 for 1 drinks. The staff are always friendly and efficient. You have to wait for 7am for the breakfast area to open up, but that is also very plesant. As a business straveller it is nice to return to somewhere that is a pleasant refuge when on the road. It used to be called Tony's Motel and often still referred to as that. Corozal is on the Mexican border 2 hours drive from Belize City.

Just spent a short night at the resort so not a full report. Arrived late and left early though i know the place enjoys a good reputation on it's food and beverage. It is an older property from the 70's or 80's and this is obvious with the stippled walls, but the owners have put some effort into making the rooms bright and cheerful. My room was huge (as i imagine they all are) and the manicured gardens are some of the best i have seen in Belize. The night porter was courteous and helpful when i arrived late. The bed was comfortable and the a/c worked and the shower was hot. I could not get access to internet despite being told earlier in the day it was all automatic. Next time in Corozal will try out their Food. The resort was built at a time when Ocean view was not so important i guess since the ocean views are reserved for the car park and restaurants, the rooms are in an L shape looking over the gardens and without any direct ocean view. A good option in Coroazal town.

I stayed for a week at Tony's and found it clean and comfortable. The food was very good and the staff were excellent. I would stay here again without question.
