“Romantic, exotic…luxury in the rainforest.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

This lodge is absolutely No.1!!! Not only the nice and exotic accommodation in the rainforest but even very friendly staff and very good restaurant. The restaurant is highlight, one of the best!!! Make sure you have enough time to get to the lodge (is 1.5heures from the main road). But it is on the half way to Caracol. Only 1.5 hours from the lodge to get to Caracol. The waterfall you can see directly from the lodge is lovely. To swim there in the middle of nowhere is just wow!!! 5 sister lodge is an unforgettable experience!!!!!

“Wonderful place, good base for Mayan ruins and caves”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

This resort was simply beautiful. The staff was incredibly helpful on all fronts and are happy to arrange guided tours to several places. They packed us a picnic lunch one day when we were going to some ruins on our own and it was wonderful, with amazing salsa, fresh fruit juice and sandwiches. The location is secluded and the sound of the waterfalls really make you feel like you're away from it all. The only drawback is that you have to drive quite a way on some spotty gravel roads to get there. I guess that's the price you pay for going somewhere so secluded. If you are psychologically prepared for the road it's manageable. I believe they will also arrange to send a driver for you to Belize City airport.

“Another day in paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

We spent a full week at the 5 Sisters and just had a great time. Everything was as good if not better than we expected - easy going but competent staff, great setting, excellent cabin and good meals plus outstanding guides. We split the time between hanging out at the waterfall/hiking on the nature trail and taking day excursions. All was worthwhile but the highlights were the trips to Barton Cave, Caracol and Xunantunich ruins and canoeing on the Macal river.

“Beautiful Location, Friendly Staff”

You could hardly ask for more in terms of service. We stayed at the Villa, which was very private and everything we could have asked for with an incredible view + private waterfall. The staff was very friendly. Housekeeping was fantastic (fresh flowers everyday, including flower petals on our bed) and the grounds immaculate. Nestled between the river, the pine forest and 2nd growth broadleaf forest you get a taste of it all. The tour guides were outstanding, especially Calbert. You will need to be a bit tenaceous though in scheduling tours and getting them with others - the process was very casual. Lenny and Helene - I lost your contact info, email me, please! Room Tip: Villa was pricier than the other rooms, but very nice and private. We were able to cook our own meal...

“Breathtaking Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

I stayed here for a group trip. The rooms we stayed in were cabannas and were incredibly neat! Clean bedding, bug nets, and comfortable beds. The waterfalls were located right behind our cabanna were only steps down, or a neat "backwards chair lift" took you down as you watched the beauty become closer and closer. Such a wonderful place to be. Don't expect 5 star, you are in the jungle and in cabannas.. you will see bugs and you will hear noises, but definitely something everyone should experience. Our food was chosen for us as it was a school trip but everything we were fed was great, the best was the fresh squeezed juice every morning. I reccommend everyone stays here if you are ready for something new and exciting!
