Positives:
1.Coral Bay Villas Do It! 8 or 10 units, less people to be around with a smaller complex. Kitchen to make your own meals if you wish. Went to the pier by the football field early in the morning and bought our own fresh fish to cook. We stayed in ground floor unit. Early to mid November a good time to go less people. Your a fool if you don't stay here.
2.We went to dive it was mid-November time frame.Can not remember the dive company name but it is located next to Blue Grill restaraunt on the beach. Diving awesome. Did not do Blue hole too long a boat ride and sounds like a tourist trap to us. Dives off the island are 5,10, 20 minutes out by boat. Quality of dives great. November a good time to go less people so boats not as packed.


Negatives:
1.The island power was out for 20 hours do to updating and maintenance but this was not Coral Bays fault. It affected the south island and all of the resorts. Power outages occur but we were told it is unusual for that length of time.
2. There is a drug element. Your an idiot if you do drugs so I will leave it at that.
3. SPEAKING OF THE ISLAND IN GENERAL: We found the locals the most accomodating. It was the american, canadian etc expats that I found the most irritating. My instincts are always right. The expats are sharks the locals are more tourist oriented.

We had a wonderful time at the Coral Bay Villas - thank you for the hospitality and excellent location. Convenient to downtown and many restaurants, CBV is the right place to stay if you want a relaxed trip to the islands. Owners like Art and Ruth will make you feel at home while enjoy your truly private beach and the pool/hot tub combo which has to be one of the best on the island. Try it, you will love it.

Coral Bay Villas was the best place for us to stay. Not so far out of town that you felt too far from everything but just right. All we had to do was hop on one of the complimentary beach cruisers and we were in San Pedro Town or hoof it for about 5 minutes!
In the daytime best way to town is walk the beach with it's wonderful breeze keeps you cool.
While walking the beach the 6 days we were there we did not see another place that we would rather be as far as location and view.
First off the view from our condo was absolutely fabulous and if there were any negative to this place, which there is not in my opinion, the view would override this.
The condo we had was comfortable and clean, not luxurious but we did not expect that, but the view was World Class! Pool 4 steps from your porch ...also did not suck! We felt like we had our own private pool.
Okay enough about the view my pics will show that but the staff was also very professional. Ann Marie was extremely helpful with booking our flight from Belize City to San Pedro and then from San Pedro to Placencia, which was the last leg of our trip.
Oscar was very nice and we felt safe as we always knew he was right outside watching over the place, not that anything was scary around there but it was nice none the less.
We were very happy with the restaurants within very short walking distance, Caroline's was one of our favorites, we ate there twice and one time got ceviche to go. The sisters that run that place are so wonderful, both beautiful people, cannot remember their names and they make the most amazing fresh watermelon juice!
Oh also eat at the Blue Iguana, just a short walk left from Coral Bay, we had dinner there one night before going fishing the next day , the food was pretty good and we inquired about getting food to go so we would have lunch for the next day, they supplied us with an awesome lunch, we did not go fishing due to weather but we ate ALL of this lunch at 7:30 am just 1/2 hour after they delivered because our trip was canceled, but our bellies were quite happy!
We try to go somewhere different every vacation but i think next time I will have to shout out loudly for Belize!

This was our 6th year at Coral Bay and it was fabulous as always! The personnel treat you like family! Just heaven! A++++++++++++++++ Thank you Janet, AnneMarie, Abraham and Oscar! So relaxing. My favorite view in the world, sitting in the Living Room just looking out the french doors to that beautiful beach! You can be as active or as lazy as you want.
