Stayed here March 5-15 2011. Amazing place. We knew we were going to love it from the first moment we arrived. 1 block from the airport but we didn't know exactly, so took a cab ride. HA very short cab ride, but he did carry all our bags up to the 2nd floor for $7. Oops paid in US and probably was only 7 Belize. It's a great $4 laugh now. 2nd floor is the best in my opion because has a better view but only one flight of stairs. The condo is beautiful and spacious for just the 2 of us. A third would be no problem too. Super comfortable bed (campared to the hard mexican standard). We hardly used the air in the bedroom as the breeze seems to be blowing just right all the time. We are early birds, so didn't mind the airplanes in the morning starting at about 7am. You don't hear them as much if you have the windows closed and air on, but you are pretty close to the airport, so you will hear it. The big benefit is that you are just outside town so you can walk on the beach or on the street and you are right in town in minutes. You can go south to some of the resorts, grocery, beer distributor, wine shop etc in 5 minutes walk. It's 3 lots north from Ramon's with all the tours you could want, and there is Belize down under dive shop right on the beach in front of the condo. Great rooftop view, but we spent the time on the front lawn/sand right at the sea. BCs is a great "local/expat" right prices bar 3 more lots north. Really really great time. The units are all individually owned and we met some of the owners and they were great. We saw both the units on the 2nd floor and the casita on the 2nd floor and they are all great and very well looked after. We are so happy with the place we would always try to stay here first.

This condo is perfect if you want to be close to the city, but want it away enough to be quiet. It was comfortable and clean. The daily maid service was friendly and helpful. We comfortably walked everywhere we wanted to visit, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and tour boats. The view from the deck was so beautiful. Do not hesitate to rent this unit. You will not be disappointed!!

The hotel was great. This was my first time visiting Belize. Ken, the owner, was a big help trying to figure out where to go site-seeing on the main-land, what to be careful of and other helpful tips. The location was perfect. far enough from the late night partying to get some sleep and close enough to stagger back to if joining in. Even though I haven't seen other hotels, I could easily make the Belizean Reef my exclusive place to stay.
