“Great Choice”

We stayed in 6c. Not part of an RCI deal. Great location, great savings. Not a hotel. You can buy continental breakfast next door at Mata Rocks for $4. Lavin Business services across the road is great. VOIP to the states, cheap, email cheap. Looked like RP had wireless but I didn't carry my laptop. Walking distance (1/4 mile) to two of the best restaurants on the Island; Victoria House and Casa Picasso. Reviewer is right; you'll want a golf cart to get to town but you should ask why you would want to go to town. Stay at the Palms if you like relaxed, good food and a clear mind in the morning. If you want to drink, party and hang out with twenty year old wannabes this is not your place.

I think cell is GSM.

“Good, but..”

Great pool area and dive center/excursion office, but the condo we stayed in (23A) was a little rough around the edges, especially in the plumbing department. Staying in one of the pool view condos would probably have been a better experience. Staff was great and were very quick to respond to concerns. I'd recommend it and you can't beat the price, but you could probably do better.

In response to the plumbing problems in 23A, the unit had a new bathtub installed in February 2006. The leak over the tub from the unit upstairs has also been repaired. There are no plumbing problems any longer. Also, the unit has been redecorated.

“Two Royal Palms”

Be careful because there are two Royal Palms. One is a vacation condo complex ---------- and one is an RCI resort which is dated and not part of the vacation condos. We stayed at the condos and LOVED it!

The prices were great and we got a nice condo and not just a hotel room. We would give it 5 stars for the amount of money we spent. A great value.

“Forget it.”

We booked this through an RCI time share. In reality, the pictures on the web are condos, some of which are rented out as hotel suites. We found that these were not available to us. Instead, time shares are housed in separate buildings that are dreary grey cement outside, with no landscaping and no views. Ours suite was dark & reeked of tobacco. The furniture had seen better days. There was a nice pool over near the condos, & a small beach, but no other amenities or activities. There were a couple of other hotels with restaurants in walking distance but it was too far from town to walk there. A rental golf cart would have been essential to get to town or to most restaurants. We chose not to stay there & checked out.

“loved it”

Me and my friends wen't to Belize not knowing what to expect. We spent a day in Belize City at the Princess and then two days in San Pedro at the Royal Palm. Royal Palm surprised us with their beautiful and spacious accomodations. Its like a one livingroom and one bedroom condo. It has a full kitchen and two bathroom sinks. The hot water from the shower smells pretty bad, but thats a general smell you get from the water sometimes in Belize. The beach is pretty but the one right in front of the hotel is not great, if you walk some 400 feet you get to a very nice one. The pool is huge (compared to others in town) Overall it was alot more than we expected and we'd go back without a doubt.
