We had a wonderful stay at Capitain Morgan's for our honeymoon!
The rooms were nice and the staff were great!
There was a security guard that walked the grounds and we felt very safe. we bought food and drinks from the store in back to save $$ as well as calories from eating out all week.
We did go in "low season" so not everything was open, we were specifically bummed about the swim-up bar being closed. But it was nice how quiet the island was!
The water taxis were great, but ladies don't plan on doing any extravagant hairstyles. With the humidity and the wind from the boat a pony tail is about the best I could do. lso would not recommend bringing a coffee or any drink without a tight cap on board, the waves can be brutal.
We did have regular power outages at the hotel but it was no big deal. They were usually during the day when we were out anyway. The only way we knew was that we kept re-setting the clocks and the next day they would be flashing again.
Also good to note before you go is that the people who live there are definetly on "island time". So when it is posted that the activities office opens at 7 and no one is there until 7:30, don't be surprised. That was probably the biggest adjustment. But again, you're on vacation, relax :)
