If you're looking for a Hyatt near downtown Atlanta, this is not it. If you're looking for one near the Dawsonville outlets, then you've found it. This Hyatt Place is extremely convenient, easy to get to and surrounded by great restaurants. No problem with service, and the layout is the typical Hyatt Place, no privacy bathroom layout. It's nice to have the sitting area, and there's a refrigerator. However, this was not the cleanest Hyatt Place I've been to. It wasn't exactly dirty, but there were little things. The hallway wasn't vacuumed. The room had a strange odor. The heat had a musty smell. The blanket (which I used after turning off the heat), although having been sealed with a strip around it as if sanitized, was full of someone's hair. Usually I sleep really well in any Hyatt bed, but the sheets were uncharacteristically scratchy. It was just the little things. At breakfast there was no jelly for the toast. Small complaint, but when you have only plain oatmeal and other plain bread products, some strawberry jelly would have been welcomed. I can't complain about the price though. I stayed there for a budget hotel price. There's another Hyatt Place a few exits away. I will try it next time to compare.

Location: I rented a car, so the location was not a problem. It has a big parking lot for free. The hotel is located near a large mall and in a short drive you can find good places to eat.

Bedroom: It is large and comfortable, with a huge tv. The bathroom is small but good enough for a single traveler. The downside was the heater that looks old and was very noisy, disturbing my sleep quality.

Breakfast: Few options, but quality.

Fitness Center: It is equiped with four aerobic equipment in good condition and clean.

Front desk: The front desk staff was always very friendly and efficient.

The rooms are first rate. Large, clean and decorated well. The pull out is new and comfortable. its large enough for two middle school kids.Great lay for a family, space to get out of each others way. The tv is a large flat screen, easy to see from beds and sectional area. There is a small "kitchen" area with a fridge, sink, but no microwave. Beds and bedding very nice. Quiet area, no road noise. Plenty of food choices, large mall and movies with in a mile. My one issue is the doors do not provide enough of a sound barrier. You can hear everything that happens in the hall. Other than that a great stay.

I stayed here for a wedding this past weekend. When we arrived the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are very large with a tv and nice desk area. The only downside to this hotel and it's a big downside is that the beds are super stiff. I had horrible back and neck pain all weekend from the bed. I will not be going back here solely for this reason.
