“Decent Price, Above Average Rooms - Just Right”

Stayed here for Phish during July 4th weekend (again, hotel overnight beats a DUI and 20 mi drive back to Atlanta). Room was small, but the beds were comfy, clean, up to date and the $10 breakfast buffet was bangin'. Only downfall - the pool was closed, probably due to some damn hippies ( I love you, damn hippies).

Totally would recommend, BUT I wish all of these hotels would get shuttles to Encore Park and just raise the rates by like $10 or $20 a night!

“Beds need new mattresses, Clean the Ice Machines, and Housekeeping is very loud in the morning”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2010

This is a very small hotel by Doubletree standards. The rooms are very clean, furnished with super cosmetics, they have your extras that you pre-ordered in the room at arrival, and front desk staff is superb. The main problem with this hotel was our bed. Once you laid down you just got stuck in the middle as the mattresses were just shot. I felt like I was sleeping in a hot dog bun. Housekeeping are very friendly, but super noisy. They have these huge blue linen carts they bang around very early in the morning and talk super loud. They need a training class in learning that yelling is not acceptable while guests are trying to sleep. The pool was not very clean with food on the tables and lots of leaves in the pool. No towels were available either so we had to get them out of the gym which is very nice. The shower was a walk in and has 2 shower heads which were full of super nice warm water. The Air conditioner was superb and kept up with the Georgia heat. The linen on the beds in this Doubletree make no sense. A huge thick comforter and a super heavy down spread make for a hot night so expect to turn the AC way down or sleep just under the sheet. The hotel had no ice maker on our floor as it was out of order so we had to go to another floor. Yuck the ice machine was not a pretty sight. The ice machine lines had not been cleaned because you got lots of black goo on your ice. I about threw up so I went down to the front desk and got my ice from the kitchen. Hotel seriously needs to clean the ice machine lines and fix the other machine as it is a big hassle. One good quality of this hotel is they do not put up with drunkeness, unruly wild loud children, or all night parties. Staff does a superb job at keeping guests safe and secure. With a few minor improvements this Doubletree could easily be top notch. Coffee in the lobby was very good, hot, and fresh.

“A Good Option!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2010

The hotel staff was very nice. The business center was convenient. The hotel rooms were very modern. The double bed room was a little small, but quite attractive. Doubletree cookies are always a treat. Our stay was very pleasant. This is a nice hotel!

“Nice hotel, great location but....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2010

This Doubletree is an interesting hotel. Enclosed shower pods, great location, great staff to greet you. The AC unit in my room was a window/wall unit that really struggled during the day with the Atlanta heat. At night I had to turn it off since it got so cold and it was noisy. The wireless in the room was the best I have ever used. Good signal and bandwidth. TV picture was fuzzy on all channels except the pay for movies. All still workable. The biggest gaff was room service. They took the order and just totally blew me off. I have never had a room service order never show. Some have been realllllly late but they always show up. Luckily there are some great options for food in the neighborhood. I would stay here again but will forgo ordering room service.

“Very nice hotel!”

I stayed at the Doubletree for my birthday weekend. The location was in a very nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants and grocery stores. There's a Starbucks right across the street. Upon arriving, we were given fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, and check-in was a breeze. The hotel was very clean. The bed was possibly the most comfortable bed that I've ever slept in. There was a standing shower instead of a tub, which was fine with me. The bathroom was a small space, but fine for only 2 people staying in the room.
The only problem was that the walls were SUPER THIN!!!! They were so thin that you heard every creak, every door, every voice, every anything as if it were in the room with you. If you are a light sleeperlike me, this could be a problem. My friend, on the other hand, slept just fine.
Aside from that, everything was quite lovely! I would definitely stay there again, if I have my earplugs.
