I was informed that this particular Holiday Inn was newly remodeled with fresh paint and carpet. The information was accurate however the paint was covering prior water damage to this hotel. My stay was originally booked for May 22-May 25, 2009 and was cut short due to the hotel stay. During my 2 night stay I switched rooms each night. One room during my check in had dirt all over one of the beds and spiders which is not good for children . The second room had a water leak over the air conditioning unit, the bathroom door was broke the in room refrigerator was dirty, and the tub/shower area had mildew and loose mildewed tile. The breakfast buffet was a joke. There was 1 waiter serving over 10 people, with 2 pots of coffee, carton orange juice that she ran out of an hour before breakfast was over, breakfast meat that was limited on the breakfast bar and when it ran out did not come back out for an entire 30 minutes, pancakes and omelets placed to order with only one waitier. The outdoor pool never opened and appeared to have alot of debree in the pool, which was a boomer for my kids. The internet in the hotel sucked and was extremely slow, so don't plan to do any work away from home or plan to search for places. This hotel was extremely old, dirty, and nasty!! I would advise anyone to consider paying a little more for a hotel, there are plenty doen the street that appeared to be alot better that is still near the mall and other shops/restaurants.
