This is definitely not a resort. There are no amenities that are advertised. We were told that the building that the sauna and hot tub, etc. were in burned down-I see now from other reviews that it burned down sometime prior to 2006 and yet they are still claiming to have these things on the website. There were dead bugs in the kitchen and the underside of the hide-a-bed couch had a stain on it when we arrived. Guess what? When we checked out they tried to charge us for the stain that had clearly been there a long while. This place is run down, mostly vacant except for the low income housing clientelle-the housing authority was on the premises during our stay!!! Oh, and the security gate was broken and we had to jump the gate to get OUT and press the code from the outside for 4 days of our stay.

I was there over July 4th weekend. Thought the worst after the reviews I've read, but was amazed at the cleanliness and pleasant staff. Everything was in good condition and working. Pool was clean and warm. I will visit again. Nice place,great location. Only 1 hr 20 mins to Disney day trip.

Arrived there on Friday, the phone was not working, reported it, did not get to use it until the Wednesday of the following week, saw dead roaches also a big live one in the kitchen. Told management, they looked very suprised as if we were lying.
Then housekeeping did not come the day after we complained to them, when confronted, said that she was off with an attitude.
We would never say there again. Needs better maintance done in order to get a good rating. Canada

Our stay was a trade through Interval International. I had read the negative comments after I made the transfer, therefore we expected the worse. We were so surprised. The place was great, very clean, well landscaped and very accomodating. We have been trading time share weeks for over 20 years and this is one of the nicest places we have stayed. We have been going to Florida for years so we were well aware that Avon Springs is not near the ocean or gulf. We enjoyed our visits to the non-beach areas, such as Lake Wales, Sebring and state parks. The restaurants in the surrounding areas were numerous. We would not hesitate going back to Signum Resort Las Palmas, Avon Park, Florida.
