Stayed at the fishermans cottage. it was very relaxing had a wonderful time. Brigette is very attentive at breakfast, and you feel at home. Capn't Tony was just as as nice as can be. We will return. Apalachicola is a hidden Gem.

With so much oversized furniture stuffed into our room, and every square inch of wall space covered with a kitchy framed print or photo, this place felt absolutely stifling. The fact that the a/c was off and that an antique floor fan was blowing instead did nothing to alleviate the suffocating atmosphere. But the most suffocating aspect of all was the proprietress. After a restless night in our too hot room in our too soft bed, we told Brigitte that we wished to leave after the first of the two niights we had reserved. This was in May, off season. Her reaction was to explain that that was why she should have had us pay for the two nights upfront. After some rather disagreeable back and forth, we insisted that we should not be held liable for the second night and she begrudingly accepted. More than the accommodations, it was the owner's attitude which left us with a most unpleasant feeling about Bryant House.

We stayed at the fishermans cottage for a week in July 2010 which we chose for its stunning and quiet location for a restful break and a base for exploring the local area.
The cottage is located on the upper story of a timber constructed house providing modest, open plan, clean, comfortable and affordable accomodation. There was only two of us, but it would be suitable for a small family or groups of good friends.

Whilst there we had breakfast and viewed the different facilities available at the main guest house and Sadies Cottage which all provided tastefully decorated, different themed rooms and an excellent standard of accomodation.

The owner Brigitte is a very hard working, hospitable & friendly lady who's company we enjoyed greatly and breakfasts must not be missed.

Brigit and Ken are wonderful hosts running a very welcoming B&B in a classic Victorian house close to the riverfront , restaurants and shops. The house is in a great location in a small town full of character and characters. We enjoyed terrific breakfasts with home baked croissants and bread. Sitting on the porch on a sunny afternoon is hard to beat. We would certainly return. Einstein the parrot is a star.
