First let me say that I usually can find something to say as a negative -even minor. But this time is the FIRST time ever that I can not find a negative. The Consulate Suites is amazing! We stayed at the Ambassador suite. Our hope was that the suite would be comfortable for my husband and I and our two young sons and also still be close to town. This place was very comfortable but what blew me away was the loving care that the owners have shown the suites. Wow. The architecture was restored to appropriate time period of when the Grady Building was first constructed along w/ lovely antiques! The exposed brick throughout is lovely! There is a little library sitting area with lots of good books and the kitchen is gourmet kitchen all the way! I only wish we had stayed in more and cooked some more! The beds were very comfy and there were plenty of towels and sheets etc. They do not skimp on household 'stuff' as some rentals do. They provide little shampoo soaps, lotion etc. like a hotel. (bring your own hairdryer). There is dvd player also in the family room. The master has TV also. They have an Ipod docker music player as well. Parking is right out front. Downstairs are cool shops /boutiques. The place was exceptionally clean. I HIGHLY recommend this place and we do plan to return in the summer!
