Smelly rooms, stained curtains, dirty doors, elevators, corridors, swimming pool , all which made you wonder if the dark carpet & bedding where actually clean !

Needless to say, we refused to stay .The staff and manager were polite but refused to give us a refund as our booking had been payed in advance.

We booked another hotel across the road (Hampton Inn) which was lovely, clean and well priced.

Stayed at the Altamonte Springs Ramada recently. Room prices were good, front desk service was great and location was not bad. Several restaurants were located across the street or nearby, all within walking distance. The hotel room was quiet as was the hotel but it might been due to off-season travel. In summary, clean, quiet and great staff at the front desk.

My wife and I stayed at what is now the Ramada Inn and what used to be the Best Western, in Altamonte Springs, FL, for the past 5 years, when we visit our daughter each March. We have always liked the room (we try to get the same room each time), the friendly staff, the quietness, the breakfast they serve, the location, and the price.

This year we had a little hesitation because of the change of ownership, and we were concerned that the quality may have gone down. After talking on the phone with the manager Carolyn Hardin, before we chose to stay there, we were reassured that if anything, the place had been improved since it changed hands.

When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the improvements made to the room (the same one we always stay in) which included new carpets, new countertop on the vanity, and new paint on the walls. The same friendly staff was still there, the breakfast was still good and the grounds were still quiet. The housekeeping service was way above average (the maids took a lot of pride and care in their work) and the whole atmosphere was relaxing and low key.

We also love the location, because it is centrally located near two major arteries, and is within a 5 minute walk to a great family restaurant (Perkins) and to a CVS pharmacy.

Considering that the Ramada Inn's rates are lower than other motels in the immediate area, and the quality of the accomodations are so good, we think it is underpriced and a great value, and we wanted to share this with other people considering staying in the Altamonte Springs Florida area.

This hotel was ok. The room was dated and had a musty smell, even though it was a no pet/non-smoking room. We bought air freshener to try to cover it up.
The pool is outside, which was a bummer, since it was kind of cold when we were there.
The best thing about the hotel was the free continental breakfast. That did save us some money and get our day off to a good start.
It is close to a lot of shopping, drug stores and good restaurants. and the highway.
The staff was friendly and helpful
