“BUGS IN THE BED! And a staff that denies this and doesn't follow corporate insect protocol.”
Our experience with this hotel. Checked in for 4 night stay. Night one got bit by something, didn't know that it was from the hotel. Had to go to the clinic due to this bite because it swelled up enormously and was very red and painful and was infected.
The second night when trying to go to sleep, got more bites at about 10:30 pm. Looked under the sheets and there were these tiny black bugs. We immediately went to check out and move to a different hotel. The girl who was working the desk that night was very nice, she apologized and refunded us for the next two nights (not for the night we didn't even use because we were leaving). She said there was a strict protocol to call the exterminators and that they would call us back and tell us what the bugs were.
We never heard back, so a couple of days later we called the hotel and they connected us to the manager who was very very rude. She said that they sent maintenance up, not the exterminators, because "there aighn't no bugs" . She insinuated that we were making the story up to get a free room.
So we called corporate to see if they could look into why the 'strict protocol' was violated. The man was very nice and said that he would call us back after talking to the hotel. He explained again that there is a 'strict protocol'. We waited for a week and he didn't call us back. We called again, they said he was traveling and that they would leave him the message to call us. We still didn't hear anything back and that was over 3 weeks ago.
So be warned, there are many dogs and dog owners in this hotel, as it is one of the few in the area which welcomes dogs. That is probably the source of the bugs.
Room Tip: This is a dog hotel.
