I decided at the last second to do the Pearl Pass bicycle tour and needed to know a place I could stay in Aspen if I could make it. I called the day before and they said they had rooms and worst case scenario, me and my friend could stay in a hostel room. We weren't sure if we were going to make the ride so we didn't make the reservation.

We ended up strolling into town a little after 8 and the manager hooked us up with a condo for the night. Big screen TV's and two bedrooms. We didn't watch much since we were so tired, but the beds were just what our tired bodies needed.

Stayed in the two bedroom condo. Upstairs, two rooms, one bathroom (sink, toilet, shower all separate), living room and kitchen. Two small terraces. Front desk guy was super helpful. A bear had been in the vestibule of our stairs the week before so we were warned not to leave the door ajar. No a/c, ceiling fans, nice flat screen tvs in each room. Very dated decor. 70s like--wood paneling, carpet, old bedding. Pool area. We were able to walk to the downtown shopping and dining area. Just a few blocks away.

Its cheap but you risk sharing a hostel like room, yet everyone is friendly and it has a decent atmosphere. The staff is great and the internet is free. I stay here often when I am on business trips.

Plus it is right near the center of Aspen - so you can walk in to town for dinner and drinks.

This is such a great place, just a couple of blocks away from the center - nice and quiet. The rooms are very chic with a retro feel to them. We didn't experience noise from other rooms as others has said here, so I guess we were lucky (and it was fully booked). It' s one of the nicer priced hotels and lodge in the exclusive city, and we loved that we had both breakfast included and a very nice pool, backyard, sauna and jacuzzi we could use. One of our favorite places on our trip trough Colorado!
