My wife and I have been here several times in the last 20 years. Yes, it's old and yes the central heating is old and yes sometimes things are broken. But we like old funky motels and we like this place for the most part.......until now. Unfortunately our last experience was poor service and no phone service. My wife checked us in as I was comatose from a 13 hour drive across Nevada. The young women behind the counter was unprofessional, not attentive and unfriendly according to my wife. When I tried to call out for food, the phone didn't work. I tried to dial the front desk but no answer. My trip to the office didn't go well. The young women pretty much told me I should have known the phones were out at it was clearly posted in the office and that I was dialing the wrong number to call the office and that I should have known as well. I had not been in the office and the phone in our room clearly said to dial zero and not what ever number she said I was supposed to dial. I found her to be rude and combative and very unprofessional.
Had she taken her eyes off of what ever captured her attention on the computer or attempted a civil conversation behind her hoody, she may have seen a very tired and haggard traveler and some kindness may have resulted but alas she suffers from what ails so many.
My attempts to complain the next day were met with extreme resistance by 2 other persons who had read the night persons log and had absolutely no interest in hearing my grievance. They seemed very interested in telling me how rude I was even as I attempted to be civil. It seemed important for them to tell me the young women had what I can only assume were good excuses to explain her behavior and yet no regard for a very tired and haggard traveler.
Had she any people skills, that would have been apparent. But since none of them seemed capable of eye contact much less a professional attitude regarding their job, it was useless to continue our conversation. Hopefully, a letter to the owner and triple AAA will result in positive changes.

After 2 hours at a nearby "chain" motel, I asked for and received a full refund because of the horrendous noises coming from other rooms in the "modern" but cheaply built structure. Here the staff was welcoming and admirably professional! For less money than I paid for the "nightmare" room, I got a spacious, immaculate, comfortable quiet room with a private patio for me and my dog. What's not to love? My dog and I settled right down here with all the amenities I could possibly want in a serene and relaxing environment. This is true quality, and I'll definitely stay here again!

My family members from all over the U.S. stayed here for our family reunion. It was an embarrassing reflection on Auburn. Although the rooms are clean and nice looking, my sister noticed that there was not a clock radio or towels. When she went to call the front desk, the phone didn't work! Yikes, I can see a thing or two, but this is ridiculous. I will not recommend this place to anyone, and I had such high hopes for it.

A ground level older property, but grounds are well maintained in proximity to many venues. Rooms provide the minimal basic requirements with microwave, fridge, free parking, balconies. We've stayed here several times in the past & elected to book several rooms for a couple of nights at this property for the special group rate offered.

Special confirmed rates were not honored, no housekeeping service provided the last night, beds obstructing heater & other issues. Despite concerns addressed to Management, no resolution was provided to redeem themselves for us to recommend nor return to this property. A disappointment for us and embarrassment to others for recommending this property.
