I love road-trips to Southern California! The best thing about this motel for me is the location. It's right off the interstate so easy to find and get to. There is a Denny's in the same parking to eat at when you get in late. In the morning we went across/under the freeway to the Dollar Tree and CVS Pharmacy to get those needed items we forgot.
The average parts. Room wasn't the newest, but clean. Bed was comfortable. The price was good. The continental breakfast was didn't have much left, but that's our fault for sleeping in. Coffee and muffins met our needs. So I give it good ratings in the basics of what a motel for the night should be.
Now the interesting parts. I'm sure this doesn't happen every night! When we first got there to check-in and unloading our bags (about 11pm) there was a young guy leaning against the back of the hotel and girl on her knees giving him... well you know. He didn't have her stop... haha! Some people would find this horrendous, but in my warped sense of humor is hilarious. I guess they worked up an appetite because a bit later they came into Denny's. The guy looked real embarrassed we he recognized us and asked to be seated in another section. About half way through the night I woke up to some kind of loud truck noise. It seemed way louder than it should have been. This is when I realized the window (that opens to the walkway) was completely open. I don't know how long it had been, but if housekeeping left it that way it could have lead to a bad situation. With the curtains closed I never noticed it before. The TV was old and when we tried to watch the news it kept fuzzing out so we turned it off after a few minutes. In the morning when I went to check out he told me the total and asked if I wanted it left on my card. Wait a minute!! How did a $65 dollar room get to be almost $100? He explained there was tax and a pay per view movie that was $17.95. He removed the extra charges, but warning to check your bill before paying.
