“Will not stay here again of possible”

Likes:
- Location is close to lots of good restaurant
- Clean overall
- No smoking building

Dislikes:

- Gave us a non working key on first night of check in
- housekeeper left window open, no wonder it was so cold on our first night
- only one person in front desk while 5 other people waiting
- came back from universal and our keys doesn't work!!!
- front desk girl dancing while working, unprofessional
- front desk guy talks so fast and eats his words I couldn't understand what he's saying
- Continental breakfast with NO EGGS! Seriously??? And it's $7.95???

“Centrally-located to Arcadia, Monrovia and Pasadena. Nice Hotel.”

I have stayed at this Hotel no less than a dozen times over the years and am always satisfied. Although the hotel does not boast great views or stunning landscaping, it suffices for anyone looking to get a good night's rest in a clean hotel setting.

The rooms are clean and the added touch of serving fresh cookies every morning is always welcome. I have not eaten at the hotel, but have taken advantage of the dining delivery from local restaurants.

The only complaint I can see this time (first time ever this has happened), was that my friend and I had quite a bit of luggage and needed to haul it in and out of the hotel all by ourself using the luggage cart in front of the hotel. No one provided assistance. No big deal any other time, but with so many pieces, it would have been nice to have onsite help with the heavier items.

Other than this, the hotel is nice and clean.

“Beware of additional charges”

My daughter attends school in the area and we have stayed at this property several times. We typically book with a third party like Expedia or Priceline. On this visit I requested two double beds instead of a king due to the fact that I was not feeling well. I was told that it would be an additional $10.00 per night. I was surprised and disappointed. This has never happened before anywhere. Great hotel but would think twice about staying here again.

“Horrible Beds”

My hubby and I travel a lot. JmThis is the second trip using a Hilton Hotel in the last 4 months; I won't ever use them again. The facility is clean, quiet and feels safe butthe bed is not to my taste. I. Feel like I'm sleeping on the old bed my Mom-in-Law has inher guest room. It's like sleeping in a hole. I will be going where the beds are firmer. I may have to pay more, but it. Would be worth a good nights sleep.

As you may know they are like the number sleep system beds, they have a dial system on the side of the bed that you can adjust to select the level of comfort, from soft to firm.

“Exactly what I was looking for”

For my recent visit to California I needed a hotel which offered close proximity to Santa Anita racetrack, clean, comfortable rooms which also offered good value for money. I can safely say that the Hilton Garden Inn Arcaida ticked all of those requirements and exceeded my expectations.

My usual experience with the 'average three star hotel' has been mixed and the usual downfall has been the level of service and helpfulness of staff. I certainly couldn't make that complaint here. The staff were very friendly from the second I walked in until the moment I checked out. Always willing to help and provide information and always doing so with a smile.

Being a member of the Hilton brand, you'd hope the hotel would be clean but you can never be too sure. Thankfully the room I stayed in was spotless and for a standard room the size was more than I expected. The bed was very comfortable, and given I had some early mornings I did sleep well, despite jet lag.

It's location for me was perfect as the main reason for the visit was to go to Santa Anita (an easy 15min walk from the hotel), however if you're looking to take in the whole Hollywood tourist scene it's not that easy to get there without a car and a cab ride would be expensive. I did find that most (if not all) tour operators for the Hollywood area did not pick up at this hotel because of it's location. Like I say the location is perfect if you're specifically looking to stay in the Pasadena/Arcadia area.

With spacious, clean room and modern bathrooms combined with new 32 inch flat screen tvs and completely FREE wireless internet this hotel exceeded my expectations and definitley rates as great value for money.

Given previous good reviews I have no doubt that my experience was not a one off, and I'd recommend friends to stay here.

Next time I'm in the area, this is the first place I'll check for reservations.
