It was nice to stay in Hilton Gardens Inn. The staff is friendly. The lobby is wonderful. Rooms are great. The only complain that I have it is the fact we were not able to get any Spanish-speaking channel on TV. Sad. I do speak Spanish, unfortunately my mom, a 78-year-old lady, who was discharged from a Heart Surgery, a couple of days prior to our check in, felt frustrated since she was not able to watch her "novelas" (soap operas). Come on, This is Southern CA, a very diverse place. I think it could be a good idea to include, at least the the Spanish speaking local channels: UNIVISION or TELEMUNDO. I think it is not a big deal for the majority of people staying in this hotel, however it was a big deal for my mom, who spent over the last three days disappointed since she did not enjoy her favorite TV shows (Sabado Gigante on Sat, Mira quien baila on Sun y her favorite soap operas on Fri) :(

The HGI fit the standard mold pretty well. The room was nice, the service was nice. The Internet was a bit flaky but I've become used to that no matter what chain I visit. Internet is free for all, regardless of status.

The breakfast staff was great and the cook was excellent as well. Put a great start on the day.

I've grown fond of the entire HGI chain, and while this one didn't neccesarly set itself apart, that is not really a bad thing.

We loved it here, we had 2 small girls with us age 5 and 6 who loved it but could be noisy and messy , but nothing was a problem for the wonderful staff, breakfast was a mixture, something for everyone, myself and the kids had cereal ,toast,fruit and juice, and my partner had cooked breakfast, all beautifully presented, we all loved the pool and jacuzzi and fresh warm towels were always brought out to us. Everywhere was nice and clean,and the laundry room was a bonus as children go through lots of clothes, plus the lovely bonus of free coffee in reception, which was needed after day with kids. We cannot wait to come back here again.also walking distance of some very good restaurants for evening meals.

Our family stayed at the HGI Arcadia for 4 nights while we visited Los Angeles. First I think the mapping is a little incorrect as to how far it is from the LA area (Hollywood, Beverly Hills, etc). With traffic it would take at least an hour sometimes more to get to the attractions that we were going to. The hotel itself was okay. When we checked in the key card machine was out of service, so we had to be let in my maintenance. It wasn't too long after we checked in that we were brought keys, but that made the initial check in very slow. The rooms are small, we did feel like we were on top of each other (2 adults, a 19 and 14 year old). We had to call down for towels a few times during out stay - 4 people in the room and each time they would only leave 3 bath towels. The beds were comfortable and all the in-room amenities that we used were nice - complimentary wi-fi, in room refrigerator, cable tv, etc... It would be nice if HGI offered complimentary continental breakfast - we did receive breakfast the first day - I'm not sure if that we due to the key issue at check in or just a "thank you". That breakfast was very nice and filling. This hotel is in a ok area. Not really "near" anything. I was also a little concerned when I saw housekeeping putting linens and pillows outside to sit in the sun. I've heard that's one way of cleaning bed bugs...we did not experience any and I do check the mattresses before we stay anywhere. So we did not have any issues, but that did throw up a red flag. Overall a good stay and I would probably stay again if we were doing activities in the Aracdia/Santa Ana area.
